Paul Kirkman This book is about the history of the 1859 jail in Independence, MO and the lawmen and outlaws that worked and lived there including: members of the Jesse James gang including brother Frank James, guerrillas including William Quantrill, and even Marshal Tom Pendergast-who became the "Boss" of Kansas City and helped launched Harry Truman's political career.
