Yeah, he was quite a talker. Made for some hot scenes, ya know?

Yeah! I want to go get the book and type out one of the sentences for you. LOL

"Do I really look like a man who would cry surrender so soon after greeting ye?"..."You dinnae know very much about Scotsmen, Wife. We're nae intimidated by a few cold glances. In Scotland, we're more practiced in the arts of warming up our women."
It's heavier in other places, but this was a small example.

That was just an example of the brogue... not the sex. ROFL

*Whew* I was worried I might be in trouble there for a minute. LOL

I'm trying to do some Christmas reading, but I'll probably read Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance soon, so I can find out about these Pritkin and Mircea characters that everyone is going on about. LOL. "
Ooh, two of my top 3 fave series (the Fever series being the 3rd).
Enjoy Danielle!

Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr
Deathwish by Rob Thurman

I love this series--my younger brother is a fantasy reader and got me to read it a year or so ago. I had never read fantasy and am now a fan because of that series. My mom is reading it right now and is really into it. It's dark, but his character development is just so great.
Now if the man would finish the 5th book--he said at the end of the 4th that he was almost done with the 5th, that the 4th got too big so he just cut it in half and the 5th would be out within the year. That was 2005 and he still hasn't submitted it to the publisher. And there are 2 more after that to finish up the series. The guy's gonna pull a Robert Jordan and kick the bucket before it's finished.

I haven't gotten to it yet, but I'll let you know when I do!

I have been waiting for the fifth book FOREVER, they keep saying its going to be published but than it never is. Ugg.

I really like Lia and her stories. Its really the most in depth look Chance has given us into the werewolves, and we see a different side to the mages too. Lia is also a really fun character.

Cassie and Dorina will definitely meet but I read that Lia might also pop up in the others's books... :)

--Ooh. Nice!

I'm trying to do..."
--Thanks, Laura. I really enjoyed this book. I have found a new kickbutt heroine!

Cry..."
Jennifer, that's a really good list. Happy Reading!
I'm reading

I was reading it for the Nalini Singh story, but since it's third, I'm going to be a good girl and read all the stories. It's pretty good, so far.

Are you going to read Magic Study and Fire Study? The books just keep getting better!

It took the first eight chapters or so to get really into the book but once I did I loved it!

Her writing style was different than anything I had previously read and that took some getting used to.

Got some more new books from the library (they've sent me 15 in the last week or 2, and that NEVER happens). Pretty excited about these 3:
Blood Promise by Richelle Mead
Divine Misdemeanors by LKH
Mona Lisa Awakening by Sunny

I totally agree, Bran is definitely one of my favorite characters.
I didn't like the Alpha and Omega books as much as the Mercy books but I really liked them. Anna is a different kind of heroine. She isn't the in your face kick ass type...she's more like Sookie Stackhouse in that regard.

I really would recommend Hunting Ground.

This book is the second in the Midnight's Daughter/Dorina Basarab series (first being: (Midnight's Daughter).
The books are set in the Cassie Palmer world but the heorine this time is a tough dhampir with a heart of gold.
The books are a bit more violent and dark than the Cassie books, Dorina is a bit more blunt and sarcastic (withouth being the girl with the tough chick attititude, which I hate).
I absolutely loved Midnight's Daughter and I'm lucky enough to get an early copy of Death's Mistress. I'll probably read till my alarm clock for next morning goes off.

I've been watching your updates... It makes me want to go finish the series right now, but I must finish my challenge books, first :)

It's either that or The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie. Any recommendations?

Well, Prince Charming is a stand alone... so it wouldn't hurt to read that one first.

I've been watching your updat..."
It's SO GOOD!!!!
:)
I'm utterly obsessed.

That may be my next series--I just started Cat & Bones, then I have Midnight's Daughter here to read, and then Death's Mistress will be out on 1/5, but after that, I'm all over Gardella--I need to read me some carriage scenes.

I haven't decided what to read next, I have too many books to chose from :S

Right now, I'm reading Blood Promise by Richelle Mead. Things are starting to get mysterious and I am very intrigued.
Waiting on Hunting Ground. Can't wait to read it.
