Amanda Jinnifer: Yes, Yes, Yes! You must try Diana Gabaldon! I cannot say enough about the books, there are 7 of them currently and the first one is Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon . I know a lot of people who have read the series and I have never heard anyone say anything other than they Love them. This series is one of my All time favorites if not favorite! Happy reading!!!!

This was actually my second attempt at reading the series, the first time I couldn't get into because of Faythe's relationship with her main guy. This time around I concentrated more on her relationship with her family, especially her brothers. I continued in large part because of them...which is why I am upset with her and don't know if I'll continue reading.

Susan (Suz) (sharney) | 292 comments I finally got done with Cerulean Sins (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #11) by Laurell K. Hamilton . Started and am almost finished with Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost . Have to say I love love love Cat & Bones!!

message 857: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jnhart) | 97 comments I finished Well of Shades today. It was great!!!

I just started Wolfskin today. It's not quite as easy to get into as the Chronicles of Bridei but it's pretty good so far.

message 858: by new_user (new)

new_user Wolfskin is a bit harder to get into with all the time devoted to his childhood and the relationship between the men (that is one of the main focuses of the entire book, actually). Still a roller coaster. But you will *love* Foxmask!

I have tried & failed 3 times trying to read the first Outlander book. I don't know why but it just does not hold my interest. I used to think it's because it, along with the others in the series, is so long, but that's not it because I've read longer books since and not had that problem.

message 866: by Amy (new)

Amy (amy525252) | 6 comments I just finished Desire Unchained of the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione. Loved Shade and Runa's story and can't wait to read Wraith's story. But the next book I'm going to read is Covet by JR Ward. Can't wait!!!

message 867: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 60 comments Amy when you get to Wraith's story you are gonna love it.

message 868: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 766 comments I'm working on At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost, and will probably start Covet by JR Ward when I finish it.

message 869: by Amy (new)

Amy (amy525252) | 6 comments Thanks Lauren. I've been told that as well, that Wraith's book is awesome. I can't wait to read his book and I'm dying to know what's going to happen with Gem and Kynan. It was a nice subplot to Shade and Runa's story, with a good twist at the end. I wonder if their story will get them their own book.

message 874: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 766 comments Kelley Anne,
Slightly off topic, but how are you liking The Lost Symbol? I'm not really enjoying it, and I'm wondering if I should give it longer than the 2 audio discs I've tried so far.

message 878: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I just finished Christina Dodd Chosen #2. I should have read the chosen #1 first. Then started the Laurell Hamilton Anita Blake series again and am on book #2 The Laughing Corpse.

Well Carolyn it just all depends on which part of Dodd's chosen series you are reading!! Which book exactly did you read??

message 880: by [deleted user] (new)

I have just started Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I have seen mixed reviews on it so I guess I will see...

Storm of Shadows.

message 883: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments I'm in one of those moods where I just can't stick with one book. I have a bunch that I am flipping back and forth through. I am reading Urban Shaman, Ill Wind, The Graveyard Book, and Executive Power.

message 884: by Heather (new)

Heather The Rest Falls Away (Gardella Vampire Chronicles, #1) by Colleen Gleason
I am reading this while watching the mailbox for my copy of [image error] I have been wanting to read a lot of these stories.

message 885: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) | 115 comments I started [image error] yesterday and I'm just about finished with it. It has an interesting premise but the main character is just a bit too vindictive for my tastes. I really hope she grows up a little by the end of the book.

message 886: by new_user (new)

new_user Eh, the first one was bad, Carolyn, so maybe you're better off. How was Storm of Shadows?

message 887: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. new_user wrote: "Eh, the first one was bad, Carolyn, so maybe you're better off. How was Storm of Shadows?"

It was pretty predictable. I had started a Rowena Cherry book - UGH! Couldn't even get beyond the first couple of pages.

message 888: by new_user (new)

new_user Well, that's bad news, LOL. Guess my expectations will be low for that book.

message 889: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) | 115 comments So I finished Give Up the Ghost and it wasn't very good. I'm still working on a few books from September (The Hollow, Real World, Evernight, and Evil Without a Face) but I started two new books anyway for challenges this month:

Enchanted Again by Nancy Madore [image error]

The first story in Enchanted Again was kind of weird and hot at the same time. Soulless already seems like a lot of fun and I'm only 12 pages in. It reminds me a lot of Colleen Gleason's Gardella Vampire Chronicles.

Oh yeah I think that is the 2nd book in the new Chosen Ones series :(:( But I did find that with the first 3 in the Darkness Chose series it really didn't matter what order you read them in it still made sense.... hopefully you can go back and read Storm of Visions and still be ok....
