Jennifer (jnhart) | 97 comments Just finished Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. SO good! I really hope my library has the rest of the series.

I'm just getting ready to start Stray by Rachel Vincent.

Still reading Divine by Blood and Goddess of Spring, both by PC Cast. And Child of Flame by Kate Elliott.

Jennifer I'd be interested to know what you think of Cast's Divine series, I recently ran across it so added it to my TBR list. I really liked her HoN series but haven't read any of her other books.....

My friend says Stray is really good- but I havent read it yet. And I love Richelle Meads VA series.

This looks really good, I'll keep an eye out to see what you think.

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments Shannon - have you read the prequal yet? If not, go to Vincent's website and you can download a free ebook of it, or if you like audiobooks and have an account with audible, you can download a free audio of it. I really was intrigued by the prequal, especially since none of my questions were answered in it! I have been really eager to start of the book, and so far it hasn't disappointed me at all!

Thanks, I saw your review of the prequel and I went and downloaded it from her site. I wish I didn't have to go to work soon because I want to read it now! : )

Kyle Borland (kgborland) Let me know how My Soul to Take was, I just read the novella online and really want to read MStT. :D

Jesika im currently reading Rumors by Anna Godberson and im loving it =)

message 567: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments Kyle - I just finished it, and I loved it! I just loved how it was a very unique story line. Or at least I've never read anything similar. Give me a day and I'll write a review of it, but I really recommend it!

message 568: by LooLoo (new)

LooLoo I just finished Keri Arthur's Full Moon Rising. I really liked it. It was different at least. In fact I stayed up too late reading it last night and have a huge headache now.

I've got the whole Riley Jensen series here to read but I think I will break it up a bit and read Virginia Kantra's Sea Lord next.

I am glad to hear you liked Full Moon Rising as I just bought the book yesterday - one of the few I've bought without reading reviews first.

I am also about to start reading the 3rd book in the Midnight Breed series, Midnight Awakening

message 570: by LooLoo (new)

LooLoo Heather - I'll be interested to see what you think of Full Moon Rising. I saw that you've read Jennifer Armintrout's Bloodties series and liked it. I did too. It was a little different from a lot of the vamp series out there. I also really like the Midnight Breed series.

Melodie (melodieco) Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost arrived from BAMM yesterday and I started it this morning. Good read, so far!! There's an excerpt for the spin-off at the end, too.

Thanks Kelley Anne :D I can't wait to read it.

I was thinking about reading the Night Huntress series..good or bad series? Opinions welcome

message 574: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) | 115 comments Started The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan today at work. It reminds me very much of the movie The Village, which I liked, but this book is a lot better, so far at least.

Shannon (theholyterror) | 115 comments Kyle wrote: "I was thinking about reading the Night Huntress series..good or bad series? Opinions welcome "

I've only read the first in the series and I liked it. It wasn't the greatest thing I ever read but I in no way regret reading it. I've bought the next few in the series but haven't gotten around to them so I'm not sure what they're like.

message 576: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments I really like the Night Huntress series, but it is one of those that gets better with each book. The first one actually won the group read for next month, so you should read it with us!

Melodie - I am jealous that you got it already! But you have to answer one question, in the excerpt for the new series, what is that name of the main female? She's been giving teasers for the series on her website but refused to say who the main female lead was going to be!

message 577: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) I will read it with the group then :D
I've never actually read a book of the month with a group so it will be fun to talk about as I read it for once :P

I bypassed the first one for over a year and finally read it when the 2nd one came out because it sounded so good. Really enjoyed both of them! The 3rd was my least favorite. Almost 1/2 way thru with
Destined for an Early Grave and am enjoying it!

message 583: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) I'm pausing on Iron Kissed, though it is really good so far, to read Thorn Queen by Richelle Mead which I bought 25 min ago.

I didn't even think it was supposed to be out till August but I guess I was wrong :D So excited..okay well off to read.

Man, you're really making me want to start this series. I've got 4 books going already though so it'll have to wait. I own Storm Born and I've got Thorn Queen on order, but I think I want to catch up on Georgina's books first. Richelle Mead is pretty awesome though. Probably one of my favorite new authors of the past 5 years.

message 589: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments Kyle - have you read either of her other series? I really need to read this one, but there's no way that I would wish she wasn't writing the Vamp Academy or Succubus series. They are just amazing!!!

Jennifer (jnhart) | 97 comments Just finished Skin Trade. And Valiant by Holly Black. They were both REALLY good.

Holly Black's modern faerie tales are a dark and twisted look at faeries. There's some pretty crazy stuff going on in them.

I, personally, can't stand Holly Black's Faerie books. If I wanted to read about cigarettes I would pick up a book about smoking. For those who have read the book you'll understnad what I meant :P

I've read all three series. I wish she would finish up VA so we could get maybe..2 books for Dark Swan or possibly 2 books for Georgina a year :D

I love VA but I can get my YA vampire fix somewhere else, VA is one of my favorite vampire series for young adults that is.

On reading news, I finished the Awakening today by Kelley Armstrong and I am half way through Iron kissed.
