That's right, Jaye's inside of the cage. He put a linking spell on Jaye and the cage.
If someone were to say, try to snatch the necklace from his neck, Jaye would die. If Jaye, herself (who is now about an inch tall, by the way) were to try to escape the cage, she would die.
The linking spell is also special in that if either of them are hurt (Jaye or Rumpie) the other feels it. So, every punch, kick, fall, and scrape is felt by both parties.
Whether you knew it or not, Jaye has been on this adventure with you, all along, she was just a one inch version of herself, locked in a tiny cage around a sweaty neck!

Oh, and all of the letters you received from Jaye were acutually written by Rumpie. As well as many of the clues, especially the clues in London on the billboards and buses. All of those were the work of Rumpie, created to lead you here!

Ok, Rumpie got the maps that we wanted and proceeded to zap people into spiders. The agent was telling us that Jaye was there and under a spell and Rumpie said no one knew how to break the spell. But the agent did so we were all figuring it out and threatening Rumpie and then the agent said Jaye was on Rumpies person at the time and we were confused. But we found out that Jaye was trapped in the necklace and Rumpie was smug because he was so sure no one knew how to break the spell. But many many years ago the agent witnessed Rumpie using that spell and therefore knew how to break it so there you go
