My goal is 50 books and so far as of May 1st, I have 11 books read and am working on 2 as we speak!I am not sure that I can get this goal done by December 31, 2010 but in the mix I am trying to read 1 classic a month. So far so good!

Kudos to you (in college too -- insane!) and all taking that challenge!

I don't want college to start again just for that reason. (Even though I absolutely love school :))
I just started my challenges so I am not that far a long. I am currently 1/53... but am currently reading like 3 books. I am a reading fool these days, so hopefully I will get to the end of my challenge. :)
My goal for this year (starting 1 January) is 50+ books. Have finished 42, counting re-reads, manga and kids' books as well. Most have been regular adult and YA books though. :)
I met my goal of 40 books about two months early. Maybe I'll try to get to 50 before my challenge ends on Oct. 31. I also have two more books to read for the A-Z Title Challenge (Rebecca and (The) Virgin Suicides are the two I plan to read).
Because of school and other commitments, my challenge will span September '10 to '11. With a bare minimum of 24 books a year PLUS at least 6 classics, and NOT including re-reads.

I've read 100 books since April 21, 2010. Most of them are romances but there are also a few classics thrown in. :)
For last year's challenge, I surpassed my goal by 13 books and I completed the A-Z Title Challenge. This year I made a goal of 45 books to be completed by October 31st, 2011. I've already read 24 books so far, and I'm thinking of increasing my challenge to 50 books (or maybe even 55). I'm also doing a Non-Fiction Challenge, which is to read 8 nonfiction books from 8 different categories (Science, Food, Memoir, ect) in a year. I've read 1 of 8 so far.
This is the first year I've done a challenge of any sort, or even kept up with what I've read, really. So far I'm at 13/100 and working on 4 more.
I've set a goal of 100 for 2011. So far, I've read 27/100 and am in the middle of 2 more. I figure I need to read 25 every 3 months to accomplish my goal.
Last year I read 50 books, so this year's challenge for me is 60 books. I'm at 35/60.I'm currently reading G.R.R. Martin's A Clash of Kings, as well as short stories from Jim Butcher's Side Jobs and from a collection of Jeeves stories by P.G. Wodehouse.
started my challenge with 50 books and have already made that so I've upped it to 75 books. Just finished #59. I've also read 23 of 26 for the A to Z title challenge. Only need a j, x, and z title to finish.
I just finished my 7 Classics challenge! And I'm at number 50 of 60 in my 2011 Reading Challenge.(Also, if anyone could tell me how to make those nice book cover thumbnail links, I'd appreciate it very much!)

10/50Started at the beginning of February, and I'm currently re-reading Mockingjay and the first Harry Potter
My goal is to read 20 books this year. Even that is a challenge because I am really slow reader.
up to 4/20 I think
up to 4/20 I think
So far have read 6 of my goal of 20 - Yes I am a very slow reader. I started in February
(This is my first post in this discussion. Last year, I tried to read 50 books. But I only managed 44 books.) As of June 5, 2012
Read 44
Goal 70
I read like crazy for a few weeks, then don't read for many days until the urge to read strikes again. I can never force myself to read a book. So, sometimes I read 10 books in a month, and other months I don't pick up a book at all.
This year I'm also going to try the A to Z title Challenge.
As of 19th July, 2012
Read 63 out of 70
December 31, 2012 - status
Read 81 out of my goal 70 Yay!
I have read 8 of my goal of twenty so I feel I am doing pretty good. It is hard to find time to read between a husband, two kids a job and trying to build a house! I will make it to twenty though! And then next year I will set it higher.
I started Janurary 7th and want to read 50, and so far I have read 28, which conidering I read slowly I think is good progress!!
I'd decided to read 80 books this year. But since my final semester was so stressful, I downsized to 70 books. Same as last year. Hopefully, I'll at least maintain the level. I was lagging behind very much until June. I've picked up the pace now and am a little ahead. Goal 70
As of July 26, 2013
Read 44 out of 70
I am mad at myself because last year I read 181 books, so my goal for this year was 200. But I got a new job and I read so far 111 and I have 6 at my pile right now. I hope I can finish this month. So, with my new reality I think my new goal will be 120 for 2013.
I have read 51 of 240.... I am currently 3 books behind my goal but I had pneumonia last month and slept 22 hours a day. Lol I am catching up slowly I was 6 books behind last week.
My goal this year began with 15 books, then it became 30 books and it gradully rose up to 200. I read 161/200 books, I have on my "Currently-reading" list 32 books and am 51 books ahead schedule.Last year my goal was 14 books while the year before it was 13. I came a long way :))
That's fantastic! Mine began with 75 and was bumped to 100. I'm a little ahead of schedule, having read about 65 books.
