I'll look out for the Mieville. I like the length.
Well after moving, I gave up my hold box. I just gave myself permission to pick up a comic or two from my local Hastings since there is no local comic book shop.And to save the cash, I'm only picking up Justice League. Which I quite enjoyed.
At Dragon Con I hope to make a dent in my 'missing' Green Lantern issues.

I've got a backlog of comics to pick up from my local comic shop, but haven't managed to go over there and get them yet. However, I recently read the first TP for Morning Glories and liked that - interested to see where they go with it.
Rachel Rising by Terry Moore is my favorite book at the moment. Very creepy. I don't care much for horror but this one has me coming back every month for more.
If you missed Echo, also by Terry Moore, it is now out in trade pb.
Other than that vey much enjoying the old stuff on the Digital Comics Archives. Black Cat has some great stories by Simon/Kirby, Powell and others. The lead character stories are lame but the backups are some real gems. Black Fury has some of the best Ditko art. The Adventures of Peter Wheat has some wonderful Walt Kelly art, all new to me.

Both have great premises and I'm looking forward for the next issues. And Supercrooks #2 confirms what I suspected last month, it's very good - also from Mark Millar.

I've been reading through all the Avengers Vs. X-Men and some of the tie-ins that were out as of Free Comicbook Day. Bout' halfway through my stack of those. Also I decided to pick up the re-release of Batman: Knightfall, which is amazing!And on a semi-comic note I've been reading Stan Lee and the Rise and Fall of the American Comic Book by Jordan Raphael and Tom Spurgeon
I am finally catching up on the Sandman graphic novels. Right now I'm going through The Sandman, Vol. 5: A Game of You.
Lest anyone think the only comics I read are manga, here's something I recently picked up on clearance from Amazon:

Ooooh, I love the Sandman comics. I haven't read all the volumes yet, so I'll have to grab them when I'm back in the uk.
Right now, I'm struggling through Deadman Wonderland and Vampire Knight, volume one of each, in Japanese to try and get Japanese reading practice. You would think manga would be easier than books, but it's actually just as hard. >. <
I am catching up on comics, and discovering that most of DC Nu52 is not very good. What is good is Animal Man. Seriously, if you liked Preacher and Y the Last Man, check it out!
I'm trying out the "new 52". My dad and son got "subscriptions" to the new JLA and I added the new Huntress/ Powergirl to my pull file.I'm still not sure about doing it regularly though.
Oh and the wife just discovered one of the new Grims fairy tales comics despite it being a little "cheesecake".
The new Prophet series is one of the best sci-fi comics i've ever read!! It's from Image comics and starts with #21.

Well, Korea and Japan have a lot in common (like Kimchi - yumyumyum!), so it's hardly surprising if there are similarities, I don't think I've read anything Korean though. How do they compare with Japanese?
I've also been reading the following:Saga (2012 Image) - Weird Sci/Fantasy story about a couple and their baby trying to survive during a galactic war. Littered with great characters and interesting concepts.
Dial H (2021 DC) - Mentioned above, has potential to be different/awesome every issue as the phone can turn the main character into virtually ANYTHING and China Mieville has some great ideas.
Universal War One (2008 Marvel) - Dark sci-fi story involving black hole weirdness and excriminals
Spaceman (2011 DC/Vertigo) - Post apocalyptic story about some loser guy getting wrapped up in a larger scheme of shenanigans. Have only read one issue but will continue.
Supergod (Warren Ellis) - What if instead of having a nuclear weapons race, all the large nations of the world created their own Supgerhuman with incredible abilities. They are released and are so powerful and all knowning that humans are meaningless. Think of a bunch of Dr. Manhattan's destroying everything. Awesome Superhuman battles.
Shaolin Cowboy (Geof Darrow) - absolutely incredible artwork and hilarious story.
