I think LisaKay did an excellent job of keeping everybody straight. I liked the pace of the Hunt and the variety of categories and books chosen. Overall I thought it was an excellent first time and hope we get to do it again.I also think that there were too many people tallying and keeping the spreadsheet which caused lots of confusion and many items failed to be accounted for. I think one person per team should be allocated to tally the spreadsheet during the game with Lizz double checking at the end to verify if need be.
I had a good time with this. I think my team lost thier steam at the end, myself included. We could try again with a smaller list. (maybe 20 items)and or put a 2 month time limit on the game up front, who ever has the most points at the end wins.Possibly some harder to find items that would fit accross more genres. I know most of us enjoy the paranormal, but not every thing I read is.

I was thinking July 1st to start. The last item to be called August 26th to be completed and posted by September 2nd. That is 9 weeks/items and a list of about 20 items.
It was almost too big, but manageable. If more people want to join, and we can do groups of 5s, that would be good. Also, back-ups are good. Didn't Team 1 have someone drop out?
Not an official drop out, but there were a few of us that went mia which is why I suggested the shorter time. Do you think 3-4 people would be too small?
5 sounds like the right amount to me too, but I think I will wait to see what we come up with at the end of sign ups, then make them even.
An idea...don't shoot me for saying this but a bigger list to choose from....with maybe more difficult things....like instead of body parts it would be feet on the cover....instead of female it could be blind/blindfolded heroine. And I agree with someone up above...maybe a two month game each time....so if keeps it more competitive? Just a thought.
Even if nothing changes. I had fun.
Just saw this thread. Have to reiterate what Barbara said above, Lisa Kay's weekly status updates kept us all motivated and informed, you were such an asset to the team LK!
Thanks, Lizz! You, too. Actually, we all did pretty good for our inaugural game, I thought! We weren't quite ready to launch, but we went for it and it turned out great. You can only put it off so long.
