Help selecting books

I posted this in another group, but thought it wouldn't hurt to post it here as well.
I'm setting a goal for myself of at LEAST 1 book a month for 2009. I've picked a theme for each month and was wondering if I could get some suggestions of books that tie in with my theme/word of the month. Here goes:

January - Perseverance
February - Love
March - Dreams
April - Compassion
May - Joy
June - Responsibility
July - Courage
August - Faith
September - Family
October - Honesty
November - Gratitude
December - Patience

Have you ever read Malice by Danielle Steel? The main character in the book persevered through unthinkable odds and came out on top. That is my suggestion for what its worth :)
