What if you had the opportunity to know the exact time you were going to die? What would you do? Would you choose to know or not?
What if our dreams, good and bad, are based on things that have happened to us in a previous life or things that will happen in the future?
what if the government had a secret agency which sent agents back in time to make our present better?
What if all families were allowed only two children. Any more are illegal. How will that affect your life and the lives of everyone around us.

The book takes place in London. In the book there are five different kinds of people; alpha, gamma, delta, beta, and epsilon. People are designed to what they were programmed to do. Alpha are supposed to be the future of the government. Epsilon are supposed to do labor for the country. Deltas are consumers in society. In the story we move into New Mexico where the middle part of the story takes place. Bernard and Lenina are in the story who study in the free lands of New Mexico. In the story John is an alpha who tries to find the way back to London and full fill his job with the help of Bernard and Lenina.
