Just wanted to say Hi. Seems pretty quiet in here lately. How are you all doing?

I've been staying busy with the children and homeschool. Soon I'll be busy getting ready for our move back to the states. All is well here though and I hope it's well for all of you too!

I do. It's different from what I'm used to. My cousin has very curly, fluffy hair but she's always straightening it and hates her hair. I have straight hair but have always wanted curly hair. I keep offering to trade hair with her but, meh, what can you do? Heheh. Nice to hear from you as well, Alice. How's life treating you?

I'm in Jersey and my town is a flood zone, so hoping it doesn't get too bad. I'm uphill but still by a river. Hope I don't lose power. I work at Toys'R'Us and we've been selling out of batteries all day.

Just got a call that my husbands cousin just died from a heart attack. (We were just with him and his wife at a party on Saturday.) I can't believe it. I don't know how they can schedule a funeral next week with this hurricane coming . . .

Mandatory evacuation has been executed in state.
CT transit is cancelled, airports closed. NYC is evacuating Battery Park.
Hurricane Sandy to hit New Jersey on Monday morning.
Monday in Connecticut -- high winds 30 to 80 mph (power outages)
Heavy rain & coastal flooding which will last through to Friday.

You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Jersey's getting hit right now. I was supposed to work today and they WANTED me in but my godparents are refusing to go out in the storm and I don't blame them. Unfortunately my boyfriend is working, though, so I'm hoping he'll be ok. The people on TV says it's really dangerous out there. :(
