I read this book a few months ago and really enjoyed. For those who have seen the movie, the book exceeds expectations as usual and rises above as the clear winner. I hope you all enjoy!
I haven't seen the movie, but I read and adored this book. It's one of my all time favorite classics!
So who is reading the book after having watched the movie?
Who is reading the book purposely waiting to see the movie until they finish?
Does the order in which you read the book/see the movie hold any importance to you?

I personally watched the movie before reading the book. I didn't even know the book existed until afterwards. But usually, I like to read the book first. The one you experience first is always the one with the surprises and the tension. The second time around, some of the magic is gone. I'd much rather experience the story in my imagination in the usually superior written form and then explore how the book was interpreted by a director.
I borrowed the book from library and they even said to me that there is a movie about it :) So i read the book and then watched the movie straight after. The movie didnt match the book at all, at least for me (so much was missing)Liked the book very much

yes, I always try to read the book and watching movies straight after. Even it I know movie doesn't match or not good at all - I'm still curious
sometimes, if it's happend to see movie first (how it happend with Julie and Juliaand The Time Traveler's Wife - I even don't want to read book anymore. Movie is enouth (even if it not so full and matches good according reviews)
I read the book years ago, and just re-read it. I've never seen the movie, may try to find it to rent, just because it has Jack Nicholson in it. The book was just as good as I remembered.
I saw the movie years ago. I just read the book for the first time now. I hardly remember the movie version and I really enjoyed the book.
Liked the book when I read it, haven't seen the movie yet, but fully intend to!
