I keep crashing out of it, but very awesome idea!
Once I turned off the login/log off notifications, my connection was stable (but by then some people may have also given up)
I joined for the first time today and it was awesome!! Can't wait till next month :)
Took me forever to grt all this on-line stuff figured out, but of what I did hear/see/join in with, it was great fun. Thanks, girls, for providing the venue :)But space, really? This better be good. Which one was the final first choice, btw? That got a little confusing ...

AnimeCanuck - were you a Toronto Nano-er this year, by any chance? Loved the chat, it was great fun. It was the first time I'd watched live and I think it went *so much faster* than when I caught up with them after the fact. Next time I'll be prepared with my own drinks too.... :)
I watched the hangout live for the first time yesterday... it did seemed to go faster, strange how that happens! The IRC chat kept disconnecting me, so I gave up and drank some tea... Space. hmmm I like space tv shows so maybe.. Library doesn't have either of the books this time around.

Well I'm going to try to find them at one of the bookstores we have pretty good trade-in deals.. if not I'm gonna finish the next Iron Sea's (after the 3 books I have going now)... The soulless series is on my maybe list, but they're at the library so i can read them anytime.. They should have a netflix's for ebooks! I mean I love buying books, but I don't have the budget for it..
Personally, I have a thing for owning my books. i don't care whether I buy them new or used, it's just my one little hoarding appreciation thing. So, so very hard to part with ... but, then, there's the trees ...
I have books that I can't even let people borrow, without giving them the evil eye! LOL... and everyone knows someone that could careless about your book they borrowed! I'm hoping to find at least one of the space books to try it... haven't read anything space-y before..
I only purchase my favorite books for keeps nowadays. Everything else I hope to find in the library/internet. We need to set up a lending forum for some of these books that are hard to find.
Yeah, I'm totally with you there re: the lending. I only lend to ppl just like you and me, now ;P
I think there is a tread for friending/lending kindle/nook here somewhere I saw something about ebooks... but for Actual Book lending I haven't seen anything...
I think there's something called ebookfling.com but it requires the ebook to be "lendable" :/I might be mistaken though - check it out.
