IT HAS TO BE BRITT ROBERTSON. Everyone google her, is that not exactly how Alaska should look?!

She could be a little annoying it's true but she does have an innocent beauty and she's adorable, she would do a great Alaska, if she was blonde. I did imagine Alaska blonde for some reason. OH I Know why!!!! THE COVER OF THE BOOK HAD A BLONDE GIRL! How did JG approve that!?

The cover is a flower or the smoke... Plus Britt Robertson isn't cute. In an interview she said Dylan O'Brien looked like a 10 year old and she's pretty stuck up. I would hate it if she was Alaska.
well her personality in real life doesnt matter, her acting skills do...ive seen her in under the dome and shes okay, but yeah, lookwise not alaska at all. and there are a couple covers for the book. 
I read the one with the candle on it.
I got the flower one :p haha :) but I reckon if Kesha the singer was 18 she'd be Alaska :D

In my head Alaska Young and Margo from "Paper Towns" would be the best of friends. Too bad they are fictional and can't actually meet. Anyways Emma Stone seems like a good pick, or even Jennifer Lawrence. Both girls are just as fun in real life.
When I was trying to imagine what Alaska Young, I imagined her to have long straight black hair and a very pale face, but very pretty in so many ways!

Yeah I agree, but Alaska has like emerald eyes and black hair, kind of like Katy Perry, but I'm not a big fan of her.
who do you think will be portrayed her the best? i didn't pay attention to how Kstew looks in the movies bcs i'm not a fan of her tho. as i said before that imo, she got this damaged girl image... can't think about anyone but her.

I think Kaya Scodelario has been cast now (not sure where I heard that or if it's true).I think she works/would work really well but Alaska is very similar to Effy that Kaya Scodelario played in UK programme Skins so it will be hard for me to see her as Alaska when she was originally Effy.
I can imagine Kat Dennings, both her physicality and her demeanor would've made her perfect for a role like this.

Yes, I completely agree, I think they're quite similar too. I loved Kaya as Effy in Skins!

I think Willa Holland, Alexandra Deddario or Sasha Piterse would be good choices for the film. Willa has the green eyes and could work on her way to gain more weight, only a little b/c she's already a little curvy. Alexandra just naturally has that curvy figure and such a pretty face, and Sasha has great charisma and would be a good choice if people pictured her blonde

I picture her as emma stone for the green eyes. But for the movie, I vote kaya scodelario to play Alaska

I think Dacota Fanning would be verry cool. Maybe she doesn´t exactly look like the girl Green described in the book, but somehow, for me, it would perfectly fit. This look in fannings eyes seems to say that she is innocent, but on the other hand there seems to be going on so much behind them. And sometimes you seem to see a spark of something nasier and more sexy.
