Susan | 6406 comments Beautiful.

I wish I looked like that in sepia.

Louise Sitting down - I just saw a BBC health program that stated that "the chair's a killer" - apparently sitting down all day is really really bad for you, even if you work out in the evening/morning

mark monday (majestic-plural) enemies! i remember when i had enemies. now i just have irritating people with whom i actively try to not engage. the feeling is more bored contempt than that hot feeling of hate. i assume it is the aging process that has taken away that heat. such an old man!

My wedding picture is in black and white. No sepias, though. Not a one.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Thanks, TawNub, Phil, Susan, Margot... :)

That was taken umpteen years ago at my sister's first wedding. The actual photo was taken in color. I used some online photo editing and thought the sepia one looked decent. What I most liked about the sepia coloration is that you can't see that my hair is orange. My friend did a REALLY bad dye job on my hair the weekend before this wedding. I'll dig around to see if I can find a picture of the orange hair.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments :/ Orange hair:

message 171: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments It does not look orange! The bun is really pretty.

message 172: by Margot (new)

Margot | 103 comments It looks to be a soft orange and quite nice in the photo. Not an artificial Lauper orange.

message 173: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Uhhhh... let me see if I can find more photos of the unflattering color. I know I have one of my hair that was taken the week after the wedding. I had gotten a hair cut by then.

message 174: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Okay... it's a bit more obvious that it's a bad dye job in this picture:

message 175: by Heidi (last edited Jan 17, 2013 01:25PM) (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments VERY orange clown hair (taken the week after the wedding and after a hair cut):

Also, my neck freaks me out in this picture - my thyroid glands are HUGE.

message 176: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I see a little more of it in #224 but I have some bad dye jobs and highlights in my past, too. I even thought it was a good idea to go blonde for a hot second when I was in high school. It was very bad.

Yeah I've been seeing these headlines for the past year. So we should all become farmers again, or iron foundry workers. Time to do away with the entire 21st century knowledge economy, apparently.

Your hair does not look orange! If that's orange, then 1/3 of the women I see on the street have orange hair. That is a very normal blond shade. (Normal meaning normal from a box, of course.)

I would say more like 5/8 of the women I see.

I'm not sure whether I should be relieved you agree with me on the neck thing or upset, Margot. I'm probably gonna go with relieved.

I will take your lead on this one, Heidi. But it first made me not happy.

I'm very sorry. What I meant is that it did look a little funny in that picture.

Sorry.

message 192: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments No apology necessary. :) It freaks me out when it gets like that. Thank goodness it hasn't been like that, though, in 10+ years.
