I have a Christmas-related question.
For Christmas, my family got a total of five new Wii games. Rock Band 2, Lego Batman, Wii Fit, De Blob, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. Since Thursday, Wii has pretty much taken over our lives. There is almost always someone on it at all times of the day. Yesterday we played 9 1/2 hours, and we had no clue it had passed. What should I do?

We've tried to have movie night about 5 times recently, but we can't agree on what to see.
Whenever my sister and I can't agree on a movie, we get all the movies we have(that she's allowed to see, being only 6), and take turns saying what we don't want to see.
I have a Wii to and know how addictive it is. I suggest reading. If that doesn't work(for me anyway)all is lost.
Hey if you can't get off the Wii, literally pull the plug for a certain amount of time or hide the games. You'll realize how long u were all on and hopefully change your ways. Or, to do something instead, how about cooking a meal together? Everybody can get a job, be busy, be happy, and eat yummy food! (or bake)
And if u can't agree on what to see, how about making a list with a rotation for who gets to choose. You this week, you little sister next time, etc.... it works with my family :) My sisters and I all have different tastes in movies, and we can never agree, but that always worked. Or vote. Everyone picks 2 or 3 movies depending on family size and you go through 2 rounds of voting. First everyone can vote for 2 (but can't all be own) and then you discard all the lowest voted ones until you have 3 left, and vote on those. :)Hope these ideas work for you!
Interesting ideas... recently it's been her watching the movies and me doing the homework, though ;)
hahaha but my sisters are in the same class as me so we have the same hw (and yes sisters plural) figure that out!
It's me,three brothers including a baby.
One of my friends has 5 younger sisters and an older brother, and my other friend has 5 younger sisters and a baby brother.
I have a younger sister and a younger brother. They drive me NUTS!!!
No...... I have school, but my mom's forcing me to take my sister sledding down our neighbor's hill 9 times. I hate being out in the dry air...
Yea. I woke up, took a bath, went downstairs to get ready for school, and figured out that I had no school. This is like my first snow day of the year. And my part of MA, is only supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow, and we have a snow day for it.
I always tell my mom to wake me up at 7:20 if I'm not up. I woke up this morning at 7:40, and I was really mad at my mom for not waking me. I thought we still had school, so I went downstairs. All the lights were off. I thought we were all lying. Then I heard my siblings playing Rock Band in the basement. So I went down and they told me that our mom told us we didn't have school.
We're having a level 3 snow emergency. Ice over everything, amost a foot of snow. I heard some people's power went out. I took a picture of our backyard after the snow stopped-- that's what my picture is.
Level 1 emergency means get your car off the road so people can clear it...I forget what level 2 is, it's probably something like try not to drive so much,
Level 3 is don't drive, and everything's closed.
Ah. Humph, my school never has snow days!!!!!!! in TEN YEARS we have had a grand total of TWO snow days. Both for some of the biggest blizzards of the last 13 years... almost every school was off today except mine!!! even a bball game was canceled because all the catholic girl schools were closed!!!
This is slightly unrelated... but do you like my picture? It was taken 6 years ago, and I'm wearing my first communion dress :)
kk I have a help question. My teacher is timid and well... rather clueless. He is also extremely weird. How do I get him to a. actually challenge and control the class, b. not scratch his belly in the middle of class etc., and c. not be clueless about not only class happenings but about subjects other than history, especially in english. See, in my school one teacher teaches each class most subjects, with other teachers for math, music, art, etc. And this year, my teacher is driving me up the wall, although last year I had a fantabulous teacher. HELP PEOPLE!!!!!!!
challenge question-- I sort of deleted most of the friends I didn't know, but if you can guess the answer, you can be my friend for now..... I'll give you a hint-- it's three words and it's a christmas song :)teacher-- What you do is take a movie of him doing that for some reason, and show it to him and say, "look how awesome you teach!" or something that doesn't sound sarcastic... I'm thinking about doing that for someone in my orchestra who plays with their violin on their chest, pointing towards the floor... Also, you could try volunteering to lead the class, or come up with things for the class to do...
mmm . . .a few weeks ago,New Hamshire had a MAGOR ICESTORM and school was out for a week. It kinda alternates ice storm/HUGE flood, HUGE icestorm/flood,icestorm/HUGE flood . . . I guess I can look forward to a big flood sometime soon.
woah! flood/ice/flood/ice. Some month, ragnarok!hey rachel, thanks for the idea, but I can't really do that.... I would love to, but I would probably a. get in trouble or b. embarrass the heck out of him and then get in trouble. I do try and do the second thing, but.....
anyway thanks for the suggestion
three words, squished togetherlike:
ReadyTheWay
but that's my mom's favorite christmas song, not mine :)
Me neither. BTW teacher update: Yesterday we took a field trip to the Museum of Natural History. Firstly, he got us lost in NYC about 12 times!!! A couple kids in my class had to navigate for him. He asked a French guy for directions, and then was too scared to ask someone else so my friend had to do it for him. Then he managed to get us lost INSIDE the museum with a map. I had to show him where to go. He also didn't plan a single thing about the trip other than reserving a lunchroom instead of letting us eat in Central Park like we have always done in the past. On the way back, my classmates continued to navigate. Then my teacher LOST someone. He eventually bumped back into us, but.... AND he said for the next trip, WE should plan it! Are you kidding me??? He expects US to do HIS job for him??? Especially since he loads us with enough "Busy work" already..... I mean, it is not that he doesn't care, he is just NOT cut out to be a teacher... or at least not at a school like mine, in the grade right after the best teacher EVER. Sigh. Ok, I'm done ranting.BTW Rachel, is it Buriedinsnow? :)
yeah. this guy is just not cut out for teaching. He is nice, but completely and utterly clueless and its killing me.
my friend had a sub before and he figured out he was in the wrong class but kept teaching anyway. There was a firedrill and he didn't know what to do so he gave them candy and told them not to tell anyone.

And who knows, he could be secretly trying to get you guys to be in charge..... I've sort of taken over my book club.
