April, All books that give you what you need at that moment are books that improve you because they meet a need. Sometimes I read classics and sometimes I read junk and it feels great!

If you keep holding in those farts, you'll be bloated and your breath will smell bad.

I had too much dairy on Friday, and I'm just now starting to feel normal again!

I don't mind pulling up weeds, but I get a lot of tiny elm saplings and I hate to pull up something that wants to be a tree. I really want to go replant them somewhere.

That's sad LG. I would feel the same. I guess if you had nothing else to do could you pot them up and donate them to a local nursery . Or would the potting process kill them?

message 30: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
I don't think any nursery would want them. They're so teeny, most of them are 1-3 inches tall, and they really do look weedy, until they get big enough that you can tell they're growing bark.

message 31: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
Also, I get so many of them that pulling up and replanting would take several hours per week.

message 32: by Robert (new)

Robert (robertstout) You could create a sanctuary for abandoned and unwanted saplings.

Just an idea.

A bonsai nursery/enthusiast might like some of them. I guess it's the time factor involved as well. Sounds like it could become a bit of a project.

I have the same problem with maples. :(

message 35: by Amy (new)

Amy Neftzger (neftzger) | 304 comments I have the same problem with maples, also. I love the color of maple trees in autumn so I can't stand the thought of killing the little ones.

message 36: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments The dates that fall from my palms produce many datelings(?) every year. I give them away to anyone who wants them, but I do have to pull up a lot, too, or I'd have a palm forest.
