Yeah. & IMO P.C. & Kristin Cast have a tendency to "talk down" to their readers.

Yup. It's like when authors talk about the previous books as though people wouldn't think about reading the novels/novellas in order.

It is annoying that the authors keep reminding us, but they may be writing like that to refreash some memories.

I feel like they don't need to remind us as we keep reading. Once you get past book 4(or so) you(as a reader) should know the basics of each character. They only remind us(constantly) because they need to add fluff to the books. We don't need to know again the Stevie Rae is country but we learn it again because P.C. and Kristin Cast have nothing else to say.
