Bella is an idiot, anyone with a right mind should know that. But I don't 'hate' her (as such)
Now if you were talking about Jacob - I would have said an 8 - and it would be me murdering HIM!

Oh my lord, I'm about an 8 or a 9. So annoying. So very annoying. If people like her actually existed, I would despair of all people, everywhere. (Please do not tell me that people like her actually exist. I do not wish to despair of all people, everywhere.)
She chooses an unhealthy, obsessive, controlling relationship, although I suppose a more or less one-sided relationship with Jacob wouldn't have been much better. Couldn't she have just gone and found a nice banker or something?
I'm going to stop, while I still can. I could ramble about how I hate her for a good, long time.

I agree wholeheartedly with you especially about Jacob. I wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

A lover! (Liker?) I don't really agree...she just gets on my nerves.
To me, Bella irritates me the same way a horse that dies on top of you and crushes you would. She is as pleasant to read about as curdled milk is to drink. If Ron Burgundy met her, he'd feel satisfied that at least one woman fit his theory about the intelligence of women. People like Bella cannot naturally exist in this world because even a person with more holes in their brain than Phineas Gage has more brain power than this emotional vampire....in case you couldn't tell, I do not particularly care for Bella.

....a decent character would be say Alice. Not Bella. She obsessed over Edward and then practically draped herself over Jacob. I find that annoying. Also love triangles are the worst.

The thing is that even a decently written character can be irritating. For example, in Harry Potter, Rita Skeeter is a well-written character who can also be annoying. Love triangles can be done well if under the right situation.
The problem is that Bella Swan has SUCH a good character hidden underneath also makes her much worse. Think of it this way: wouldn't Twilight be so much better if the story realized she was desperate for vampire sex, and reflected on how pathetic her life was? Either that, or show her for the manipulative selfish jerk-face she is. However, the story treats her like a saint, glossing over her negative qualities in order to focus on her good parts. That makes an already annoying character worse.
But that's just me.

Well, Bella is like that sometimes, but I don't feel like she is that way all the time. I think in Breaking Dawn she turns into a much braver person once she gives birth to Renesmee and realizes that she must step up and be the better person.
8! She is so...HUMAN! I personally think she's depressed, though why would you be with two guys chasing after you? Plus, why DO they both like her so much? Oh, and in Breaking Dawn, does it not REALLY annoy you when everything works out perfectly?
e.g. Renesmee will conveniently stop aging at around their age, and Jacob can stay immortal because he imprinted on her.
However, I do agree that she becomes braver in Breaking Dawn.

I would have to say an itch you cant scratch i think she is a little of a clutz but she needs to get over complaining about edward and jacob.
2-3 because at the end of the day, I read all four books so she can't have been that bad. In reality if she was in my Uni I wouldn't like her because she's really ignorant to all her friends and let's face it, she's a total sap.

How dare you? Jacob is AWESOME!!!! I'd say about 7 on the scale of annoyingness for bella.if it was Edward about 74 and a half which means I'd have ripped him to pieces then when he reforms do it again and again and again.
Team Jacob so I think Bella is like about 8 to 10. Edward is better at playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter. Bella is a traitor for going for Edward instead of Jacob.
I am going to say a three, however my opinion is due to change. Bella is sometimes one of those characters, where you can see that she is just trying to do something good, however her penchant for always getting into trouble or doing something bad is tiresome and frustrating. It is like the girl doesn't know when to stop and keep her head in line! In New Moon her relationship reaches an all time low, and an all time annoyance for everyone out their, who probably wanted to rip their hair out, all the times you could see that she was better off with Jacob.... Overall, best just leave the topic to rest, I found she was an all right character, nothing spectacular.
Loved the books, but I did find Bella to be extremely annoying and rather selfish at times. She would walk through hot coals and give her life to be with Edward "forever"....but she can't enjoy riding a motorcycle with him or put on a pretty dress and enjoy a party that someone has organized in her honor. Or at least grin and bear it because it is obvious how much it meant to others.
Bella Swan doesn't annoy me as much as, say, Hermione Granger (from Harry Potter), but she does get on my nerves at times. (I will never think of her as Bella Cullen. It's too old-fashioned and sick.)
