The cover is just Wow(lokks grat :] ), but:
1)The characters are just flat (Ren not really but the rest)
2)The lovestory... Ah.. so they somehow don't really know eachother but fell in love.. hmm.. So where is the drill??
3) The plot was complex, a little bit to complex sometimes I was just reading about 3 pages and then thought wait, what did I just read???
The basic concepts is actually good but still. I did't like it.

I personally quite liked it. It wasn't as good as I thought/wanted it to be, but I did really like it. Here are my thoughts on the book, but you may not be like me.
Pros:
1. The concepts and twists of your typical stereotypes of werewolves and good vs evil are really different and interesting - well worth reading.
2. The plot: the twists and turns keep you on your toes. It's enjoyable once you can follow it and it leaves you guessing in the right places.
3. Characters: Calla is a strong heroin (in some respects) and she's really likeable. some characters like Ren will keep you guessing, but without leaving them underdeveloped. Actually, there are a few really interesting characters and likeable (or loveable) to go with it. But, of course, there are the characters that balance all that out and make your skin crawl.
Also there are some pretty sexy scenes in there as well ;)
4. The world Cremer has created is interesting and a great read. Her word building and the vividness she creates it great. The heirachy and ways in which everything has to happen has another era feeling and it's pretty awesome - a bit different.
Cons:
1. You have to concentrate to keep up with a lot. (this is a good/bad thing. If you like involved books, you'll enjoy it. If your not looking for a read where you have to be on your toes then probly not)
2. The main character, Calla, is caught in a love triangle, and her thoughts on this and the complications that go with it are a big (huge) part of the book. To me, it sometimes got annoying. Sometimes, the love that all of a sudden appears will leave you going. "Okay, alright! but you kinda really don't know him". it was a little too 'straight-away-love-at-first-sight' and I don't think that one of the guys got a fair chance - it felt biased (but that's definately my biased opinion cause I preferred the guy she didn't pick!).
4. some things will leave you going WHY!? (again, this may not be a bad thing, but it depends what you're going WHY about.)
5. The first half of the book revolves around devlopment, explanations and setting everything up. Again, this could not be a bad thing, but it means that it is a lil bit slow at the start and you get dragged down with the triangle. (if you like romance, thsi won't bother you, but I had a half a thought of 'get on with it'.)
So, again this is my opinion. I know it seems there are more pros than cons, but I didn't want it to seem like that. Really, I thoroughly enjoyed the book because it was what i felt like at the time. Now, looking back on it after the gushiness passed, I can pick a few gripes with it, but it really is a good book :)
it's up to you. Read it. What have you got to lose. If you don't like it, stop reading it :)
