Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Another collection of GR/non GR - this one includes a GR author - Kristine Cayne - that I haven't added to my "read" list yet. Hearts and Arrows by David G. Pearce

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Latest update - 96 books by 60 different authors.

Plus two collections of GR/nonGR authors.

I'm trailing behind you though ;)

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I have kept updating posts 1 and 51 as I have added books, this is just a summary of the books - 105 books by 64 different authors

Total books read so far this year for my Goodreads challenge is 219.

R.J. Askew (rjaskew) | 855 comments this one is on the short side, being a novella, and i am one of your orfors Watching Swifts *bows*

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I'm a bit stuck as to how to add A Splendid Salmagundi by Andrew K. Lawston to my list

Do I add it to each author already on my list, then add all the "new" authors. Or leave it as I have it now.

message 60: by Vic (new)

Vic Heaney (vic_heaney) | 689 comments Maybe you should just check out those authors you have not already read, then see what else they have done that you haven't read. :-)

Cheeky, eh?

They are probably on my TBR list which is large enough to last me until I retire, at which time I will be able to settle down and concentrate on reading ;)

(makes note to move someones's book on the TBR)

Vic Heaney (vic_heaney) | 689 comments Sorry, 'twas naughty. I blame the bubbly with which I was celebrating my daughter's escape, at last, from Saudi Arabia.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Janet, don't let Vic off the hook too easily.

He's a very talented and entertaining author but he didn't buy a round for the group did he?

Now that's cheeky!

Vic, I'm so truly pleased Karen et al are safe in London. Things in the Middle East and Northern Africa are rather turbulent.

To think that Dave and I were considering Egypt just six months ago. Our best friends got out of Syria just before it kicked off.

Turbulent times.

Vic Heaney (vic_heaney) | 689 comments Seriously Janet, when I was reading the Salmagundi, marvelling at the number and variety of authors in this group, I was thinking how much more you know about that. As a result of your challenge, you must be the world's greatest expert in the subject, a veritable walking Salmagundi. Why, you could write a book about it!

Yes I have read a lot, but so have quite a few other members here - Sarah has definitely read more than I have.
As for writing a book - I don't think I could do that, I am definitely just a reader.

Well done, Janet! This reminds me that I haven't updated my challenge for some time. I need to drink a lot more tea this morning before I attempt to tackle that!

Vic - I'm so glad that your family are out of Saudi!

:0)

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Update - almost the end of this challenge, and the total is 125 books by "our" authors.
