Ahem. This is probably the fastest I've read a Star Wars book. I'm pretty much hooked and when I read, like last night from like 1 to 3 am, I read for a good stretch of time. Can I just express how shocked I am that I'm enjoying this book SO much?

Has anyone seen there is a new take on Star Wars: A New Hope. its written in the style of William Shakespeare and iambic pentameter.
. Anyone plan on reading this?
The one that's coming out this fall. I've forgotten the name of it... lemme google it."STAR WARS: EMPIRE AND REBELLION: RAZOR'S EDGE"
Crap! This book comes out way sooner than I thought. xDD I need to order it so I can have it shipped to school.
Razor's edge comes out 24 Sep. The new Kenobi book is up next with release on 27 Aug. After that, Darth Maul:Lockdown comes out 21 Jan 2014.
Hey folks! New to the group and GoodReads, but not from the Expanded Universe- I started reading the EU about 6 months ago, and am hooked. I think I've gone through most of the major series in chronological order from the end of the movies, occasionally going back to get through other series like X-wing (my favorite) and just finished the Black Fleet trilogy (much harder to read). I'm just about ready to jump into the Fate of the Jedi series, starting with Outcast. Since Allston wrote it, I bet it's gonna be goooood.
NJO was really good- still very intrigued by the whole concept of biological technology. Legacy of the Force was a good series, not as good as NJO, but mostly because of how I knew it had to end.Eventually, I'm gonna have to go back in time...
My grandma made me a Star Wars dress! I'm gonna share:

I'm reading so many books right now. Okay, not ~~~so~~~ many. I'm just carrying four books around with me right now: vector prime, heir to the empire, Heirs of the Force and Dark Tide I.

Very nice print/dress! Decided to go back a bit in the timeline and read the one-off Rogue Planet about Obi-Wan and Anakin finding the Yuuzhan Vong planet for the first time instead of going into the Fates. Might as well finish the NJO off.
I just finished reading The Truce at Bakura. I thought it was great. It was my first Star Wars book I read. I am skipping the X-Wing series for now since I don't own very many and I am also skipping Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor since I don't have it either. I am currently reading The Courtship of Princess Leia.
EDIT: So within the first paragraph of The Courtship of Princess Leia referencing the X-Wing series. I am going to go a head and read Rogue Squadron and the second one. Hopefully I can get the other 5 that's set before Courtship.

How are you getting on with all of them
Wow! Kudos to your grandma, Alli, that dress is AMAZING!!! If she could mass produce them and set up a stand at a convention...big bucks, just sayin'!!!
I'm currently reading Vector Prime. I'm just starting The New Jedi Order series. Also reading Choices Of One. I love the Zahn books especially ones with Mara Jade as the focus.
I'm hoping to finish Thrawn before school starts (September 2nd) buuut we'll see how that goes. On another note I was bought three Star Wars journals to write my book reviews in. Yeahhhhh~
Well, I fully intended to start back at the beginning with the rest of the group with "Into The Void"- even borrowed the book from the library just before vacation. But of course I promptly LEFT IT HOME. Oh well. I tried to get it at the local library where I'm at, but it's checked out.So I'm reading Fate of the Jedi- just ripped through Outcast and Omen in two days, and about to start Abyss. I love summer vacation!
Okay, no lie- just finished the Fate of the Jedi series. Great series, and the final book is non-stop battling and fighting fun. But now I wonder what happens to Vestara, who has quickly grown on me as a great Sith character.I am not sure what to do next- continue the Legacy era by going to the comics (100 years beyond Fate), or go back in the timeline... choices choices.
I'm reading Kenobi but I ordered Invasion 1-3, coruscant nights 1-3, the Medstar duology, and splinter of the mind's eye. :D
I just started The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance. Bought it over a year ago on my kindle and forgot about it.
I started reading Star Wars invasion volume one. It's already reduced me to a sad curled up ball on the floor.
I started over with the NJO series a year or so ago and I am currently on Traitor (which was the first in the series I read I think). I own the whole series but its a long read. I also run a book club so its hard to keep up sometimes. I plan on reading the Thrawn trilogy soon too.
I'm trying to get all the EU Books and comics before I really try to read them all. I'm well on my way however.
I am reading Kenobi and listening to Fatal Alliance. Not fully caring for fatal alliance. Appears as if nothing has changed reading Jedi and the Republic over 2000+ years.
I just finished Kenobi and thinking about reading Crucible although my husband has given it about a 1 star. The only Star Wars books i have left are those pre-prequels i believe and maybe a few during the prequel time period. Any suggestions?

I'd probably recommend the Old Republic series, even though I just said that Fatal Alliance isn't very good. Once you get past that one, they got good authors to write the series.
