This is my personal opinion...I think that well find out that Seth isn't who he says he is and then well all hate him and then she'll pick Aiden

I don't know if its possible for me to hate seth and if deity makes me hate him...then I'm just going to read pure over and over again because I don't want to hate him and I loved him in pure.
I don't think I'll hate him either. I might be frustrated with whatever he's done but I won't hate him.I do agree with you though, Zaira, about Alex forgiving him later on in the series. I don't think she could hate him forever.

I read pushing the limits and it was awsome i loved it, next is starcrossed, i have couple book that i can't somehow get into and finish for ex. Anew and Ariel every one says is amazing but i can't seem to get into it :(

I don't understand why. He made assumptions about her just like she did about him and his brothers were right along with him in the things they thought about her. But once she opened up, he got to know the real her, he saw he was wrong.
Uh, that Grayson's reasons for trying to run the business were selfish...or something along those lines.

I thought that he did mention in Deity where he first saw her. Or am I imagining it? I can't really recall. LOL But I think I remember something about that. Yeah, the lovey dovey stuff has gotten annoying.

Well, you are right, Emily. I would have to agree with that. It did take forever for him to admit it and it took something drastic, like we knew it would. I just kind of wish she would have given him a harder time about it. Nothing had really changed since she told him she loved him. The rules were still the same and the risk wasn't any slimmer. I would have been like, "Why the hell now? I almost died! Is that what it takes?" I just thing that Aiden is boring and predictable. I knew he would have that thing on his necklace that she gave him, I knew it would take something horrible for him to admit his feelings, I know every time that Alex is in trouble he's going to go rescue her even though she's more than capable of handling it herself. I just wish he was more alive and spontaneous, less boring. That's another thing I like about Seth. We never know what he'll do or how he'll react. He's a mystery. I can't predict one thing about him for the next books.
^Agreed. I saw all of those things coming *sigh*I just need something that blows my mind from him and I'd probably like him more but so far Aiden's the typical hero found in many YA books. He needs to have some kind of edge lol
Hahaha You would hope for the first one wouldn't you? :PI hope Alex does become the stronger of the two and then she somehow helps Seth not by killing him. I know the storyline so far is saying that "history is on repeat," but I think it's just supposed to look that way and then the "twist" to come is that history doesn't repeat itself. Of course the "unrepeated history twist" can go another way. Alex could end up killing Seth and that would be different because the Order of Thanatos were the ones who killed Solaris and the First.
Hmm...hoping for the former but I guess either scenario can play out. We just have to wait and see
I LOVE Aiden plain and simple. I'll never switch sides. Though I hope Seth gets the shit kicked out of him. He needs a reality check. I'm slowly getting into Apollyon, wanting to savor every second of Aiden love.

Yeah, but I don't think that that would be the twist. That Alex will kill Seth instead. I don't see Alex killing him. I mean, there are still Seth fans. Would Jen really have the heroine kill a loved character? And make us hate Alex? I don't think so. Someone else might kill him. I'm seriously hoping not. And if Aiden kills him.....Oh god, don't get me started!!! Do you guys really want to see Seth killed though? I mean, he really hasn't done that much harm. Yet. I cant say what's to come, but I don't think he will do anything too drastic. I really do have hope for him. He's so misguided. We don't even know his full background yet. He does need a reality check and probably a good ass kicking. No denying, but he doesn't need to be killed. I want to know what he would be like with no big powers. He can't hide behind them then.

Thank goodness, Emily. It would break my heart if you said you wanted him dead. LOL And Nicole! You are right. I never would have thought she would do that to such a lovable character. It seemed like an easy out so that the other two could be together and she wouldn't have to choose but I've heard rumors...(view spoiler) But I don't think Jen will do that. If she was going for that, she would have made Seth evil-evil and not give all the he-just-wants-love sappy background to it and show us the change in him when he's taking power and he goes all power hungry. Even Alex says that's not who he really is. She gave us excuses and reasons not to hate Seth. She gave us reasons to hold out hope. That vulnerable side he showed in Pure, that's Seth. At least, that's what I think.
I've heard that rumor but I haven't read anything by her since the Bloodrose incident. I don't want to experience the heartache again.And exactly! I don't think Jen is one to take the easy way out. It just doesn't seem like something she would do. I completely agree with the vulnerable side of Seth being the real him. I think that's what I was explaining when I wrote about my take on Deity. I just wish more people would realize it. People are being blinded by the fact that Seth killed some "innocent" people. Yeah, you call people who enslave half-bloods just because they think they can innocent? I don't think so. Seth basically did the exact same thing that Aiden did for Alex. Aiden tortured the Daimon who was after Alex and Aiden fans praise it.I'm okay with what he did too but what is the difference between that and what Seth did? Seth might have killed more people but when you look at their motivations, they both did it for the same reason: Because they believed in the cause. Seth believes that Half-Bloods should be free and at the moment that was the only way he saw a solution. Or the beginning of one I guess. Aiden wanted to protect Alex and the only way he saw a solution for that was to torture the Daimon.
The actions are a little different I know but the reasons for them are the same thing.
Yes! Ha ha. I forgot about that! I was going to mention that in my review of Deity but it slipped my mind. It's like they are all okay with killing people if it suits them but Seth does the same, and he's bad? (This is the same thing that aggrivates me with TVD because Damon is looked at the same way!) Alex killed an innocent Pure. He was mind fucked to attack her and Alex killed him. It was a life of death situation but could she not knock him out and then run? And Aiden killed the Daimon. The Daimon and the Council, they aren't exactly innocent and their hands aren't clean of blood, but that Pure? What was he like? No one knows. Seth is in half-light of what is really going on, of Lucian's plans. He thinks he's helping half-bloods and Alex. He's got that power feeding into his ego and it's making him think he can take on the gods. He's definitely dilluted and he does need to be knocked back down to earth and Lucian's real plans need to be brought out in the open for him to see. Maybe he will turn on Lucian then. He could at least redeem himself that way, right? Being the one to take out the Evil Mastermind of it all.
Exactly!*sigh* I wish people would see how similar these situations are! It frustrates me beyond belief when everyone claims how evil Seth is because of what he's done. But I feel like they're not looking at the bigger picture. They just want to make Seth out as the bad guy even though there clearly is a bigger evil out there. And do they hate Lucian? Yes, they do but it feels like they hate Seth more. And it's like they all ignore all of the hints at how Seth isn't the real him in Deity. There are plenty of signs that show it and we've pointed them out before but it feels so fruitless. smh...
But that's okay, at least we can be Seth fans to the end :)
Yep! Seth is just a little ant out there compared to the evil that's really going on. And what's funny is that every one of the evil guys are battling it out just to have and control Seth. Lucian was the one to gather both Apollyons and find their weaknesses. Alex, it's any one she cares about. Seth, he just wants to be loved. Lucian figured that out and played them. Especially, Seth. How messed up is that? Seth really thinks Lucian's a good guy, that he cares about him. And in reality he's just a piece of Lucian's puzzle, a key to getting what he wants. That's so sad to me. :(Well, I know I definitely will. I usually have a good judge of character and Seth is not a bad guy. I'm thinking of all the happy dancing I'll do when he redeems himself. Positive thoughts here!

What do you mean he's all about ruling others? He didn't know about Lucians plans to enslave humans until Alex pointed it out. But he didn't believe her because Lucian has him wrapped around his thumb. Seth should know better. And yes, it is fucked up how he's not giving Alex a chance to choose and forcing the power exchange on her. That's the only thing that I will hold against him.
And I generalized the Seth killing innocents too because ive heard others saying the same.
AIDEN. What the hell else is there to question? I just can't trust Seth right now. I mean, I kinda liked him when he first showed up, but I just don't anymore. He went all buck wild and crazy on everybody in "Deity". Plus, he sides with freakin' Lucian of all people! Alex is officially with Aiden (THANK GOD!), anyway. And I, for one, am glad. The only problem left is the apollyon business that's still going on. Maybe, after all that comes to an end, Aiden and Alex can FINALLY be together.

I haven't gotten that far, been swooning for Holder in Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, which is a MUST READ by the way...so I read that one in one day and now I am returning to Aiden, my poor neglected Aiden, though he understands I have other boyfriends. (I feel like such a slut) LOL
