I'm Looking for a Book on........

A very interesting subject and one that I've not read much on, however, I have read this book on the Abwehr which you might enjoy:

LAND, AIR & SEA > Intelligence Operations & Units During WW2
I had thought I had a solid library on this topic. Just the first two pages has dozens of titles new to me. Several relating to my request.
I am not sure I have enough years/eyes or bank account to afford being too active in this community,
It is at once humbling and gratifying to know how much you guys have read and are willing to share.

You might want to peruse the other topics after you've won the lottery...

I'm glad you found that thread on the subject and discovered a few good books on your area of interest. I actually should have provided you with a link to that page, so sorry about that :)

I've got this book on the Pathfinders but I have not had the chance to read it yet:

Thanks for the tip. I found and ordered a book call "Pathfinders" by Don Bennett. It might be interesting to compare them.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking for a book on the RAF Pathfinders but this one looked so good I ordered it too.

I thought you meant airborne pathfinders.

You never know where these posts will lead you - my lucky day!

I have these two books on my shelf, but haven't read them yet:

I will keep my eyes open for these, thanks.

This book has just been released which may be the perfect book for you:

I am fairly sure that Thompson fought in the Falklands campaign.

Thanks, Rick!

Hi everyone ! I am looking for a recommendation for the Battle of Stalingrad. Any suggestions would be appreciated . Hope I put this in the right thread , if not sorry

Stalingrad by Michael K. Jones
Voices From Stalingrad by Jonathan Bastable

I've heard good things about this book MR9 but I have not read it or even seen a copy so it may require some further research to see if it is what your looking for:

Thanks, Colin.

I haven't found any, but I know this is coming out in May:
(no cover) Haig's Enemy: Crown Prince Rupprecht and Germany's War on the Western Front by Jonathan Boff

Might try this one:

There's also this one about P-38 ace Gerald Johnson:

Thanks, Marc.

Glad to help. Just remembered this one as well, which has some pretty humorous parts:

I'd really like to hear your recommendations on any book that really details the battle of Iwo Jima, particularly the role of Easy Co., 2nd Battalion, 28th Marine Regiment, 5th Div. I need info especially from Feb. 19th on and also what took place AFTER the flag was raised. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I read this one way back in my youth, and it's a book primarily designed for a younger audience, but it might help a bit:

I know a few good books on Iwo Jima but not specially the unit you require. Hopefully someone else may be able to help.

Haven't found any books on anything other than the division level:

You could try tryThe Battle for Iwo Jima 1945 It is in chrnological order so may be of use from the date you specified. FWIW though I thought it very poor. You may think otherwise.

Anyone have some titles to recommend?
Looking for more on the German effort and almost anything on the Japanese.
Italian or Chinese might be cool.
Need not be too academic or technical, but almost anything may be of interest.
