Exciting news! Our lovely traveling ARC of Garment of Shadows has started to make the rounds--wooohooo! John and Pat, our intrepid administrators, have first dibs, but then the list is wide-open! So sign up here to get in the lending line-up. You just need to read the ARC as quickly as you're able, and then send it on to the next person on the list. So, who's up after John and Pat??

Advance Reader's Copy, not the final printing. They are usually pretty close to the final form, depending on how the proofreaders did :-)

I can always get the ARC sent back to me and forward it to an international address, and cover the higher postage. And it will be a very well-traveled and cosmopolitan ARC!! :D Sheri, you're after Erin, no worries.

When you're done with the book, you message the next person for his/her mailing address, and mail it there. If the next person is out of the US and international postage is steep, you can send it to me, and I'll get it there.

Sheri, so sorry about the US-only restriction! It's a publisher giveaway, so they set the rules. I think there will likely be other ways to win ARCs without a nationality restriction, however.

Well... I was able to read it on Amazon. It shows up in the back of the sample version of the new paperback PIRA when you click on 'look inside'. I was surprised I was able to read it in there.

Just to let you know, the ARC (or as they call them now, ARE) is not the final edition of the manuscript, since there were a bajillion small changes and improvements. If you want the definitive LRK, you'll need to see the actual print or e-edition, or hear the audio.
Basic plot the same, a whole lot of rough patches smoothed and oddities cleared up.

As is the case with most ARCs, my fingers are twitching toward the red pen to fix the typos. I'm being good, though...I don't want the next reader to have their reading distracted by edit marks. Although, I'm sure you are all just like me in that if there isn't already an edit mark on a typo, your fingers will be twitching to make corrections. ;-)

Oh, yay, I think there's only one other person in front of me. And that's OK about typos, I probably won't notice and if I do, then I won't feel so bad about my own grammar errors when I write. That teaser chapter at the end of PIRA was just torturous and now I must know what happens... Hurry up and read it. :D
