It was just utterly terrible. Terribly written, terribly put into words. It should have never been published.
I hated it. It entirely stunk. It was poorly written and the characters were one-sided.
Nothing happend in this book. There was no excitement or plot and I could barely finish it.
its supposed to be a dystopian romance but there was no romance. i barely even knew it was dystopian cause there is no detail. it took me three months to read and i still think its amazing i finished it.
the plot was so unimaginative it wasnt even funny.
I agree with the Vampire Kisses book. It was so bad. Yet I read the whole thing and was sorry I wasted my time.
I read over a hundred pages, and THAT was a waste of time. I just waited and waited for it to get better..
marcello in the real worldcouldnt even bring myself to finish this...
and
These two combined made me give up reading
Barely understood this one.
I liked Mockingjay. In my opinion it was supposed to be painful, what with the new forms of suffering of beloved characters.
Was just bad. I wanted to punch myself in the face for finishing it. You HATE every single character and the ending was blah. And even worse was
Guess it's the same author. Figures. Wish I would have known that before I read dead girls.
I mean, it wasn't overly wonderful, but I liked it, yes.
i read a really awful book last year think it was called beautiful angel or something but the worst one i have read lately would be Fever the second in the chemical garden trilogy, I wasnt overly in love with Wither but I enjoyed it enough to buy the sequel - i wish i hadnt! It seemed so long and drawn out and depressing, I don't want to ruin it for anyone but she should have been happy she'd got what she wanted but she was always sick and if she wasnt he was definitley didnt enjoy it

We have Wither disscusions! :)
Terrible. Writing goes all over the place and main character turns evil?? And drowns her friends' cats???
This book is so boring and it skipped out on a lot of parts. The main character is stupid and curses a lot (I don't have a problem with the occasional swearing, but this book had lots, like every pages). The romance also sucked.
The Amethyst child! It was awful, ending all predictable and no ultimate exciting 'moment' that changes everything. The characters were also just one cliche after the next as far as their personalities and tastes etc

I so agree! I wanted to love it so much!

Aww..really! I had this book on my mind and it sounded so so good!

I had a hard time reading, but if you actually get past the dialogue and the spelling... it's actually a very good story.

You should try it, a lot of people liked it... :)

Great, I will! :D Did you continue on to book 2 A Touch Morbid?

No, I didn't. I gave up after the first one. :D
My sister is going to kill me for this but it was so boring! The story was very slow and confusing. I didn't like any of the characters.
I know lot of people loves this book. but I hate it. UGH! i wanna smack myself for reading the whole book.

"Yeah, I took a look at it because when I first heard of them I didn't hear about the content, just that they were incredible. When I picked it up and read a couple pages I realized what they were about (I am not one who reads the inside or back cover as I find it normally ruins the book for me, so I will read the first bit). I also was put off by the writing style.
I've heard the writing is terrible, really amateurish. People "in the know" tell me that if you're interested in this type of fiction, there are a lot of books that are much better written.

my god, YEA! I'm totally agree with you.

Lucky you because the book is absolute torture.

Scott wrote: "I would never read 50 Shades of Grey personally. It just seems too risque for me to read."Yeah, you probably shouldn't read it.

I read part of the first chapter and then flipped through the rest hopping it would get better but the writing stayed the same and so did the content.

I don't know what is appealing about 50 Shades to people!

Nicholas Sparks's books are not as good as people say they are. They are always the same - fellow A and fellow B fall in love just like that, they are happy for a while and then one of them flips out and ends the relationship or a major tragedy happens and one dies.

I haven't read any but they all sound so generic!

They are. It is always the exact same thing! It is so predictable! :S
And I don't know why people say that Nicholas Sparks is the "king" of romance! I don't see all that romance -.-'
The Mortal Instruments Series - that is romance!

Oh, that is so true! I don't think I've read any of his books where one character doesn't die.
Lucille wrote: "Lucy wrote: "Nicholas Sparks's books are not as good as people say they are. They are always the same - fellow A and fellow B fall in love just like that, they are happy for a while and then one ..."
Totally!
Someone has to die in every single book that he writes and, usually, it is one of the protagonists.
I have only read one book of his where the protagonists don't die - The Rescue. But even in this book someone dies.
Lucy wrote: "Lucille wrote: "Lucy wrote: "Nicholas Sparks's books are not as good as people say they are. They are always the same - fellow A and fellow B fall in love just like that, they are happy for a whi..."
I think he's just trying to use tragedy/drama to control people's emotions... I mean, people love tragedies. [I do.] But writing one or two tragedies is enough, three or more is too much.
I just remembered that no one died in The Choice.
I personally wouldn't read his books because they are chick-lit and I don't like books like that!

I don't think that I've read that one. But I don't feel like it.
Scott wrote: "I personally wouldn't read his books because they are chick-lit and I don't like books like that!"I don't like chick-lit as well but, whatever, people were saying that it was "epic" and I felt compelled to read it so I could say from personal experience that his books suck!
worst book read? Three cups of tea. I thought it would be incredibly interesting and I gave up about 2 chapters in, it's very slow and doesn't capture your attention. I had much higher hopes. Also anything by Kristen Hannah, I honestly believe this woman writes some of the most depressing novels ever written. I stopped reading them because they actually made my depression worse.
