The Death Cure
question
How satisfied with the ending are you?

I was kind of hoping for more about where they ended up. It felt a little abrupt to me.

I agree. Where exactly did they end up? And how are they safe? Is it some island? I liked it, but I would have liked more. For example, why did they have to go through those trials in the first place? They keep saying to map the brain, but why specifically? I would have liked this explained better. And why wasn't the first maze enough? And was was Boulder deteriorating? Why were the infected going into the city? There are so many questions left unanswered.

And it'll be answered in the new book coming out on August called The Kill Order
Personally, I liked the ending. It was realistic; it showed that in a dystopian universe you don't always necessarily have the cliche "happy ending". I kind of liked how the world remained in chaos, SORRY, but I did. :/ The way Dashner ended it I think, was a little abrupt, but I liked the way it ended. I know a lot of people are upset with this ending, because of all the "unanswered questions", but that was the point the ending gave. I think it was a very bold move for Dashner to do, and I liked that a lot. So, overall I liked the ending.
i cried so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so hard when newt died .he was my fav. character!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [no ireally did not cry]
I WAS DISSAPOINTED! it was awesome and all, but why end it like that. there shouldve been a longer epilouge telling if they did repopulate the earth and all that. i luved it and the death cure is my favourite book of the series. maze runner next, kill order than scorch trials because.. well, jorge was weird but cool at the same time, not supposed to happen at all. cool and weird dont usually mix well, like ME, im weird only
I didn't like how Teresa died. I don't like her, but I just wish she had a different ending. I felt like the author just chose a quick way to get rid of her.
I also wish I got more of Chancellor Paige.
I was also not happy about Newt's death. Not at all.

im indifferent... i just hope ''Kill Order'' answer some lingering questions that need answering or clarification.
Well... I like the ending RESULT :/
I really could've seen no other way than reseting the existance of mankind. Everything was too far gone.
But as for the book itself, terrible.
The characters were written poorly in this book, they showed no personal growth, especially Thomas. And the story was really weak. It was mostly action and less a story. Nothing happened other than them running from one location to the other without reason. I was really dissapointed with this book. Kill Order better be much MUCH better

I look at the ending like a very sad one, where WICKED was the one who created the flare and wasn't able to eradicate it, and for that reason all the human race is going to end, except for the immunes who will continue civilization...
Sure it feels terrible, and basically everything they went through in the trials and all the tests was for nothing because at the end they couldn't find the cure. But i think maybe that was the point the author wanted to make, to give a fatal ending to the series.
I liked it, to be honest, but i also wanted more answers like how were those trials going to serve the purpose of finding the cure and so on... well, i can only hope in the prequel some of it maybe will make more sense.

I felt like it ended to abrubtly. It was like actionactionaction, WAIT IT ENDED?! I liked the Thomas/Brenda moment (NAWW!), but I feel like there could have been some more declining action or explaining.
I really enjoyed the series, and the mystery of what the heck was going on but I was left feeling unsatisfied with the resolution. When I finished I felt like I should be splitting the last page because it couldn't just all of a sudden end like that, could it?
This is what I wrote in my review concerning the ending:
"Although this was a good wrap-up to a great series, the ending leaves me with a very unsettled feeling: They basically went through two and-a-half books of pure, living hell to just end up hitting the RESET button and starting [civilization] all over again! It almost seemed like they did all that for nothing."

I did not like the ending at all. It felt like the author wrapped up the story at the end because he didn't know what else to write. The fact that they didn't even find a different way to look for a cure was even more infuriating. The experiment the government came up with was stupid and pointless. Now, the kids are living on this island with a new start on life while the rest of the world slowly decays. Its pathetic. I also didn't like the fact that Teresa ends up being the other girl and what's even worse is that she dies. Thomas had no right to judge her for what she did. She was doing it out of love and if he couldn't put up with that, then he is a much weaker character than I initially thought. In summary, I hated the ending, and I am not going to read the prequel.

well first of all, was it really necessary to kill off Newt? i mean, him, Minho, and Thomas were a trio! and they just leaving the rest of the world to die makes me think James Dashner was lazy on the ending and couldn't think of anything else.
i liked it. it tied up all loose ends. the only thing i don't like is how freakin SIMPLE his writing style is. And it doesn't grow at all in the three books. He had a chance to evolve it at the end but just kept it boring and simple.
HUERKBGVJERVLWNHV WEBOWEHBNHNEHNBBHD DHDDHV >=O!!!!!!!!!!!! i chucked it across the room 3 times. when newt died, when Teresa died and then at the ending. it wasn't a cliff hanger but i was like "that's it. that's all there is 2 it?" 'The Kill Order' is a prequel. it explains about the flare and the beginnings. What James dasner needed was an epilogue not a prequel... -_______- i was FURIOUS! i have never ever ever EVER been so disappointed with a book. The first 2 were fantastic but the ending made it seem like he was going to write another book but then decided not to. I hated it....
