Additional books which pertain specifically to Caesar will also be added to this bibliography which is a bibliography for the entire Master of Rome Series.

Rome's Last Citizen The Life and Legacy of Cato, Mortal Enemy of Caesar by Rob Goodman by Rob Goodman

I just got this for Christmas and have only read the first chapter, but it's pretty good so far. Cato is such an interesting character, but we've mostly only seen his bad side in the Masters of Rome series. I'm looking forward to reading about his good side. He must have had one, because our Founding Fathers were quite taken with him, apparently.

An interesting fictional look at this period is Caesar and Cleopatra by George Bernard Shaw. Cleopatra is portrayed as way too silly, but it's a fun play. It's available online here -
