april looked up at him with feigned innocence. "nothing, just told her the truth."

Rayana walked into the hotel and headed up the elevator. She got to her hotel room and walked in, leaving the door slightly ajar. She fell onto the bed and pulled the covers over her head, still crying.

he went in and headed for the elevator and pushed the button. damn it was so slow.

Rayana sniffed, curling up into a ball. She felt miserable.

finally, the elevator doors opened. james stepped quickly inside and pressed the button to their floor. then waited, wondering what april had said to make ray run off like that.

the doors opened again after what seemed like an eternity, and he walked silently into the hotel room. his eyebrows drew together when he saw ray. he went over to her and stroked her hair. "hey," he said gently. "what happened?"
