michelle looked up from where she was sitting and glanced around a bit, debating.

james was sitting near rayana and staring off into space.

Rayana took out her sketchpad and a pencil and began drawing slowly.

michelle slowly stood, eyeing a nearby tree, warning it almost. the branch was low and she easily swung up despite her usual dislike for climbing trees. she sat in the little bench-like seat and leaned her back against the trunk, comfortable.

she smiled and waved once before looking around at the treebranches.

the tree moved a bit, but she didnt really notice and kept singing softly.

she stopped singing and laughed at their reaction, having seen it out of the corner of her eyes. "im fine." she called.

Rayana calmed slightly down, but her eyes were still a fraction of an inch wider than they were supposed to be.

she realized taht the tree simply shifted under her, probably so it would be more comfortable that she was sitting here.

michelle put the batteries back in her camera and turned it on. this was a good height to take pictures from..

Rayana looked at the drawing and began fixing the tiny imperfections.

and then the batteries went dead. perfect. she sighed and took the batteries out again, not bothering to get new ones. she put everything back in her pockets.

"Here." Edward said, tossing her some batteries.

she caught only one and tilted her head at him. "do you keep those in your pocket or something?" she asked, smilng slightly.
