Rayana waved to Michelle, then plopped onto the ground. She crossed her legs and leaned her head in her hands, suddenly exhausted.

Edward leaned against a tree, but was suddenly pushed away. He raised an eyebrow and turned around and his jaw dropped. The tree had a face and it's branches were moving like arms.
Rayana's eyes were wide and she scrambled to stand up.

Rayana was slowly backing away.

once they emerged from the trees and back onto the road, michelle sat down right where she was and waited for the others, tired.
