They were walking, and sure, it was nice out--one of those idle-conversation kind of days where nothing really matters--but peter and james weren't even making an effort to chat.

Ray was making her best effort to converse with both Peter and James, but it was exhausting finding a topic that the two could relate on. "Hey, how about we stop and get some some breakfast?" she offered, hoping that maybe food would alleviate some of the tension.
