Edward's eyebrows furrowed and he glanced into the branches of a nearby tree, atop which a black crow perched.

Several vampires appeared behind Peter, one of them taking him by the arms and wrenching them behind his back.

Just as she was about to issue the command to kill him, a figure dropped down from the trees and drove a stake through her back, impaling her heart. Scarlet's words were caught in her throat as her skin started to crack. Eventually, she fell as a pile of dust to the ground.
Morgana looked up and grinned at Edward, holding the stake in one hand. "Long time no see."

Peter stood there, stricken. "And who might you be?"

"I'll answer that as soon as I deal with the rest of these unfortunate souls," she said and snapped her fingers. The branches of the trees quivered and then attacked the vampires holding Peter and Edward, piercing them all through the heart. Once they had been reduced to ash as well, the trees resumed their normal shapes.
Morgana couldn't help but let a giggle escape. "Ooh, I haven't done that in years."

Peter looked around at all the piles of ash and at the trees and back at Morgana, making the sequence more than once. "How--?"

"I'm a sorceress, dear," she explained, looking back at him. Her attention focused on Edward now, who was getting to his feet and dusting himself off.
"And how did you get into such a mess?" she teased.
"It's a long story. One that I'd rather not talk to you about. I'd rather not talk to you at all," he said bluntly, frowning slightly.
"Don't be so harsh, Edward. You'll hurt my feelings."

"Oh, this is--" he broke off and shook his head, laughing as he realized what was going on. "This is exciting."
