She nodded and moved so she was laying on the pillow again.

"Shut up," he groaned, getting to his feet.

"Maybe I will," she teased.

"So there," he said and went to sit on the edge of the bed with his coffee.

She nodded and shut her eyes with a sigh.

Tom handed the cup to him and leaned back on his hands.

Ed ran his fingers absently through her hair, staring up at the ceiling.

James took a sip and made a face.

He laughed again and took the cup, trying to take a sip without grimacing.

He took another sip. "Yeah, you're right," he said and went to pour it out in the sink.

Edward glanced down at Mimi who was fast asleep. He bit his lip. Maybe if he listened in just this one time..

She was by no means having a pleasant dream. Rolling onto her side and curling up, she let out a heavy breath. Currently the dream consisted of running.

Edward sighed and decided to tune in. His brow wrinkled a bit when he saw what her dream consisted of.

She was running through a darkened street, clad in an unconventional and rather uncomfortable dress that impaired her already failing running skills. There were taunting voices all around her. Occasionally she passed a few familiar faces, but they all just looked at her in pity without stopping to help.
Scott had long since slipped in the building and was making his way through a nearby empty apartment to the window so he wouldn't have to guess which one he should be targeting.

"I'll consider it."

Edward looked down at her, frowning a little. He considered waking her up.

[Michelle, Where's your sense of adventure?]

"Great."

She sighed in her sleep and squeezed her eyes shut tight against the image in the dream, which was quickly darkening.

Tom closed his eyes to nap, but ended up falling asleep.

He touched her face lightly, sighing quietly.

Once the coffee was done, James went over to check on Tom, and rolled his eyes. He sat in a chair in the little kitchen and kept his coffee to himself.

A few moments later, she jolted awake, sitting up too quickly. Her head was pounding.

And Tom kinda lay there, enjoying whatever dreams ran through his head.

Edward put a hand on her shoulder. "Mimi, are you okay?" he asked quietly.

He sighed after finishing his first cup of coffee. After pouring himself another, he took the pot and the little that was left in the bottom, and poured it over Tom's head. "There's your coffee."

"I'm fine," she said, a little breathless. She stared towards the window. "Bad dream is all. Let me get some air." A moment later she was up and halfway across the room, walking a little too well considering her state. She opened the window, and an instant later, Scott grabbed her, pulling her outside.

Tom's eyes shot open and he sat up quickly. "Shit, man! What was that for?"

Edward's eyes widened and he launched over the couch, climbing out the window in the next moment.

"I told you not to fall asleep."

Scott grinned, pressing his teeth into Mimi's neck in the next moment. "One more step and I take her."

Edward froze, his face expressing a mix of fear and anger. "I told you not to come back," he hissed.

He tried to wring out the coffee in his hair and frowned. "Thanks a lot."

He tore the bandage off with a soft ripping noise and inhaled deeply. "Do you need further proof?"

Edward recoiled a bit and his jaw set into a hard line. "Let her go, Scott."
