"To get out of here? We're gonna head towards Atlantic City."
He touched his fingers to her cheek. "Are you sure you don't need anything?"
He touched his fingers to her cheek. "Are you sure you don't need anything?"
He nodded and did so, putting his feet up on the dashboard.
Following that response, she sat up again.
Following that response, she sat up again.
Tom got into the car and looked at him. "Listen, I know you're upset with me, but at least don't scratch the dashboard. I'm renting, you know."
He slid closer to her and wrapped his arms around her firmly.
He slid closer to her and wrapped his arms around her firmly.
He laughed. "I'm not wearing spikes on my shoes or anything. Stop worrying."
She smiled and just allowed herself to lean against him, wondering how long it had been since they'd done anything like that.

"Fine," he said and shrugged, turning on the car.
He rested his head on her shoulder and absent-mindedly ran his fingers through her hair, eyes closed.

((um, should we skip to the actual mission, or do you have something in mind?)
"Should I pretend to laugh?"
"Should I pretend to laugh?"
((i have nothing up my sleeves. let us skip))
"Well, if it wasn't really funny, then don't bother."
"Well, if it wasn't really funny, then don't bother."
((woo.))
Tom sat on the rooftop, the sniper rifles set up beside him. He was peering into the next building with a set of binoculars.
"I don't see him yet. He's probably running late," he muttered.
"Yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen."

Tom lowered the binoculars and looked at James, smiling. "Hey, man, don't worry. You've done this before, remember?"
He smiled a little. "You're excused."
He smiled a little. "You're excused."
"Just relax," he said and turned back to the window. "Hey, I think that's our man..and his two body guards. Perfect."
Just then, a black cat came through the roof top door and sat down next to James. She pawed at his leg; Tom didn't seem to notice.
"Are you content with just sitting here?"
Just then, a black cat came through the roof top door and sat down next to James. She pawed at his leg; Tom didn't seem to notice.
"Are you content with just sitting here?"
She persistently nudged him and pawed at his leg.
"Don't shoot yet," Tom murmured.
"I don't think so."
"Don't shoot yet," Tom murmured.
"I don't think so."
He ignored Tom, because he wasn't intending to shoot, and picked up the cat by the scruff of her neck. "Use your words," he hissed.
"That's good."
"That's good."
She hissed and then her face morphed into her human one. "Come with me," she whispered, and then the cat face returned.
"I think so, too."
"I think so, too."
"Can you give me fifteen minutes? I'm kind of doing my job."
She nodded and kissed his cheek. "You're too good to me."
She nodded and kissed his cheek. "You're too good to me."
He let out a muffled cry of pain and pried her off him. "Unless you can stop time, I can't focus on you right now."
"But it's true. I've hardly been kind."
"But it's true. I've hardly been kind."
Tom sighed and sat back. "Damnit, they're moving to another room," he muttered, "We're going to have to wait." He kept his eyes trained on the window.
"I've given you a hard time."
"I've given you a hard time."
He looked back to Tom by the rifles, completely oblivious. Shaking his head, he followed the cat. "This is a terrible idea," he muttered to himself.
"Anything you've done I'm sure to have done worse."
"Anything you've done I'm sure to have done worse."
Morgana meowed pleasantly and slipped back into the building, making her way down the stairs and through the hallways into an empty room.
"Mimi, please."
"Mimi, please."
"What do you possibly want at this hour?" he asked, coming into the room after her.
"What?" She paused. "Why did you call me that?"
"What?" She paused. "Why did you call me that?"
((gtg))
She morphed into her human form and turned to look at him. "I'm here to offer a proposal."
Tom watched their target move back into sight. "Alright, get ready," he murmured and glanced to the side. James's absence caused him to fall over. He cursed loudly and went into the building.
"Call you what?" he asked.

((aww, byeas!))
"Yeah, and what part of that couldn't wait?"
"You called me Mimi. You never call me that," she murmured.
