"In what sense?"
"I assumed so," he said angrily when she flew away from him, beads of blood forming from the scratches on his cheeks and forehead.

"Well, she's not dead," he said plainly.
"Was that really necessary?" he asked, following the bird with his eyes. "Why don't you use your words?"

"So are you meaning to tell me you didn't turn her?"
She flapped her wings in his face and then shot off. A few feathers fluttered to the ground after her, disintegrating once they hit the dust.

"Well, that just proves that Scarlet can only blame herself," Edward concluded and shrugged. She hissed at him.
"Damn," Tom muttered, sliding off the car.
"Damn," Tom muttered, sliding off the car.
Edward sighed. "It doesn't matter anymore. What do you want from me, Scarlet?"
"It's been sixty years since I saw you," she said in a low voice, "And sixty years ago you loved me. What happened to that?"
"I never loved you, Scarlet," he told her, "Yes, I gave into my desires, I will admit that. But love you? Never."
"Have you seen my face?" he snapped then calmed down, looking up at the sky, "Wonder why she didn't do much else."

Scarlet started breathing fast, eyes wide. "What?" she hissed. She glanced at Mimi and lunged for her. Edward, hearing her thoughts, threw Scott to the ground and leapt at Scarlet. He shoved her against the wall, hands on her shoulders, and the brick wall cracked behind her head.
"I suppose not."
"I suppose not."
Peter sighed and busied himself with restraining Scott. So he sat on him. It seemed to work for the time being.
"Don't take it personally or anything."
"Don't take it personally or anything."
"Mimi," Ray murmured, somehow coming out of shock, and grabbed her arm, "We have to go."
"Yeah, I'm trying not to."
"Yeah, I'm trying not to."
"Oh. Yeah. I'm tired."
((geez, she's out of it))
"Does it get harder than what you've got set up?" he asked, waving a hand towards the targets.
((geez, she's out of it))
"Does it get harder than what you've got set up?" he asked, waving a hand towards the targets.
"Come on," she said and started pulling her along.
((i'm not surprised, really xD))
"I could come up with something."
((i'm not surprised, really xD))
"I could come up with something."
"What do you hope to accomplish with that one, huh?" Scott taunted, grinning.
"Ouch," she said quietly, looking down at her arm again.
"Have fun."
"Ouch," she said quietly, looking down at her arm again.
"Have fun."
"I don't know what you mean," Edward muttered, still keeping Scarlet against the wall.
"What? Oh, sorry," Ray said, letting go.
((i had this one idea where morgana can show up again, but they're gonna have to go back to civilization xD))
Tom put the gun back in its briefcase and then made his way back to the targets. He turned them so they were all at odd angles and then walked back. "Now shoot."
"What? Oh, sorry," Ray said, letting go.

"What can you better accomplish now that they're gone?"
"Thanks."
((civilization is just fine with me :P))
James raised his eyebrows. "Really, that's the best you can do?"
"Thanks."
((civilization is just fine with me :P))
James raised his eyebrows. "Really, that's the best you can do?"
"Killing both of you, I suppose. I'll give you the option to run with your tail between your legs, though."
"Um, yeah, so we should hurry," she nervously, glancing over her shoulder.
((woo~))
"Oh shut up and do it."
"Um, yeah, so we should hurry," she nervously, glancing over her shoulder.
((woo~))
"Oh shut up and do it."
He just laughed. "But they'll know. How will they live with you after this?"
"Oh. Okay." She started to walk a little faster.
James sighed like it was a big inconvenience and took his shots.

"Like I said, I'm giving you the option to run."
Once they were inside the building, Ray jammed her finger on the elevator button, eyes locked on the front door.
"Thank you."

"Thank you."
In response, Edward let go of Scarlet and took a step back. She glared at him and straightened up, shaking bits of brick and dust out of her hair.
"Uh, just in case?"
Tom glanced into the car and then groaned, seeing the meter. "The asshole. There's barely any gas left in this thing. Better go fill up," he muttered.

Peter sighed theatrically and stood up.
Scott stood and brushed himself off. "Thank you."
"Since when do you have manners?" he spat.
Scott only smiled.
"Okay."
"Seriously?"
Scott stood and brushed himself off. "Thank you."
"Since when do you have manners?" he spat.
Scott only smiled.
"Okay."
"Seriously?"
"Get out of here. Both of you," Edward growled, looking between the two of them.
Ray slipped into the elevator once the doors opened.
"Do you want me to leave you out here by yourself?"
Ray slipped into the elevator once the doors opened.
"Do you want me to leave you out here by yourself?"
Scott spared him a glare. "At least give us time to get our bearings. We're hardly much of a threat to you like this."
"Much."
"Are you okay?"
James laughed. "I'll probably get killed and eaten and by the time you get back you'll have forgotten all about me."
"Much."
"Are you okay?"
James laughed. "I'll probably get killed and eaten and by the time you get back you'll have forgotten all about me."
"Go on before I change my mind."
"Me, yeah sure. What about you? You're kind of bleeding."
"Good point. Hop in."
"Me, yeah sure. What about you? You're kind of bleeding."
"Good point. Hop in."
Scott hissed at him, but guided Scarlet away as he backed up.
"Am I?" She looked down at herself, injuries forgotten. Along the way she'd dropped the bloody cloth and there was blood just trailing down her neck and dripping onto her shirt. "Oh."
He tried literally hopping in, but laughed when it didn't work and used the door like a normal person.

Scarlet shot a dirty look at Edward, before turning around and leaving with Scott.
"We should get that patched up or something. I have some first-aid stuff back at my pace."
Tom laughed and started the engine. "Seriously, don't try that again."

Peter breathed a sigh of relief when they were gone. "Don't go back to the apartment while you're still upset."
"Oh, good."
"Fine, fine," he grumbled, slouching in the seat, but smiled anyway.
"Oh, good."
"Fine, fine," he grumbled, slouching in the seat, but smiled anyway.
"What do you mean?" he asked, turning to face him.
"Yeah, I think so."
Tom rolled his eyes and drove back onto the highway.
"Yeah, I think so."
Tom rolled his eyes and drove back onto the highway.
"People are bleeding, you're pissed off... it's a recipe for disaster."
"Is it bad?"
"Glad you know where you're going."
"Is it bad?"
"Glad you know where you're going."
Edward exhaled through his nose. "Fine."
"What, you're wound? Nah, it'll heal up in a day or two, I think," Ray said, stepping out of the elevator.
"Do you doubt me?"
"What, you're wound? Nah, it'll heal up in a day or two, I think," Ray said, stepping out of the elevator.
"Do you doubt me?"
((i was just at a summerfest listening to a local band play and they started playing Steady As She Goes and i was way too enthusiastic))
"Do you want to go straight back to the apartment?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
She sighed, nodding. "Okay. That's good."
"Sometimes."

((oh my god, you saw the raconteurs? I am jealous beyong belief. or was it a band playing a cover?))
"I don't know anymore."
"Yeah, come on," she murmured, heading for her front door.
"I'm shocked as to why."
"I don't know anymore."
"Yeah, come on," she murmured, heading for her front door.
"I'm shocked as to why."
((it was a local band playing a cover, but i remembered when you showed me that song and was like "ahhh, i have to tell ray about this!"))
"Then go see her. It might make you feel better."
Mimi nodded and followed.
"Oh, sure you are."
"Then go see her. It might make you feel better."
Mimi nodded and followed.
"Oh, sure you are."
((oh my god, that is too great xD))
"While she's bleeding? Yeah, okay," he scoffed and leaned heavily against the wall, "This is all my fault."
Ray opened the door to her apartment and let Mimi in, shutting and locking the door behind them. "Alright, let me get that first aid kit," she said, disappearing down the hall to the bathroom.
Draco, who had been drifting in and out of sleep on the armchair in the living room, sat up when he heard the door open. His eyes widened and he stood up when he saw Mimi. "What happened to you?"

((XD it was lovely. also, hi))
"If you think everything's your fault, you'll be too afraid to live."
"Um," she muttered, looking down at her feet. "We had a little accident."

((hello -waves-))
"I brought them here, Peter, and then I left them alone," he said and shook his head.
"Little? I don't think so. You're bleeding."
"I brought them here, Peter, and then I left them alone," he said and shook his head.

"I could have been with them."
"What happened?" he pressed.
"I could have been with them."
"What happened?" he pressed.

"You're going to keep saying that every time something happens."
"Um." She still wouldn't look at him. "It's a long story."

((that sounds very exciting :) ))
"I will until they stop happening."
"Obviously."
Ray came back with some first-aid supplies in her arms. She dumped them on the coffee table. "Alright, Mimi, you know more about this than I do."
