"How could I not have heard you?" Edward asked, both sounding angry and distraught.
Scarlet laughed. "That's our little secret, Edward," she said, "And now you get to watch us feed on your darling friends."
Edward took a step forward but Scarlet smirked and shook her head.
"Don't try it," she said and then positioned her mouth so that her fangs hovered just above Ray's jugular. Ray tensed, her eyes widening.
"Doesn't matter."

"How do you possibly eat while people are watching you?"
"Zip it, girlie," the other vampire snapped, gripping her shoulders tightly, also ready to go in for the kill.
Peter was trying to sneak up on them from behind, and it seemed to be working rather well. Just as long as the distractions continued.
"I think it does."

"I think it does."
"Why them, Scarlet?" Edward snapped, frowning.
"It just seemed awfully convenient that they were alone in the dark. I mean, after you left them alone," she said and grinned, finding it amusing when her words struck a nerve in Edward.
"So, it was you, wasn't it?" he snapped.
"Of course it was, darling. Now, enough talking; my appetite is killing me."
"It doesn't. Now, go shoot some more bullets," he said and went to relax in the back seat of the car.

All of a sudden, Peter came up behind Scarlet and pulled hard on one of her elongated fangs, enough to crack the root of the tooth so it was loose. He got a handful of her hair and tilted her head back so that his fangs were now at the vampire's neck. "Tables have turned."
Watching their opportunity slip away, the other vampire quickly struck, drawing blood but missing the right spot from where to properly draw blood.
((this just came out of nowhere. let me know if you want me to change it))
"I don't think I really need the practice. Let's see you do better," he taunted.

((no, that makes sense xD))
Scarlet shrieked and let go of Ray, who stumbled and leaned on the wall for support. Scarlet started to claw at Peter's face, hissing.
Edward rushed forward and pulled Mimi off the other vampire. He grabbed his neck with one hand and his jaw with the other, ready to twist his head around need be.
"I can and I will."

((oh, goodgood))
Peter hissed in return and grabbed both of her arms to pin them against her sides. "You've messed with the wrong people, miss."
"You're going to kill me?" the other vampire asked, who from here on out shall be referred to as Scott. "In front of your dear girlfriend?" he taunted.
Mimi blinked more times than a human really ought to and backed away from the wall towards the middle of the sidewalk where she couldn't be cornered. Her hands were shaking.
"Go for it, man. I'd like to see you try."

Edward's eyes were wild. "You hurt her," he whispered in Scott's ear, his hand pulling to turn his jaw slightly.
"What about me, Edward? Don't you care about me?" Scarlet snapped, one of her fangs hanging just barely from her gums. She started breathing fast, her eyes flashing.
"You're just going to do to her what you did to me!"
"You would, wouldn't you?" Tom said with a grin, pulling one of the guns from the trunk.

"And what is that exactly?" Peter asked her, tugging a little more forcefully on her hair.
"You don't want to know," Scott replied with a short laugh.
"Mm-hm," he said lightly, lounging in the grass.

Scarlet hissed as her head was jerked backwards. "He's going to turn her into one of us, whether she likes it or not. Her blood has already been spilled. Just look at him," she muttered, spitting the words out.
"James, I was trained by the military. I never miss my shot," he said, loading the gun.
"James, I was trained by the military. I never miss my shot," he said, loading the gun.
At those words, Mimi snapped to attention, poofed a strip of sturdy cloth into her hand and pressed it against the wound to stop the bleeding. She didn't look at anyone.
Peter looked, though. "He looks more murderous than hungry."
"Were you? I keep forgetting about that."

((gtg soon))
Edward's grip tightened as Peter spoke, but made no other movement. He tried to ignore Scarlet's glare turned towards him.
"Damn straight."

((i know, but I'm falling asleep here. I shall be here tomorrow, though))
"That is none of your concern," she hissed at him. She tore herself away, ignoring the pain in her skull as her hair ripped out of his hands. She spun around and faced Peter, spitting her loose fang onto the groun.
He laughed. "You just want me to shoot the target?"

((huzzah! and sleep is good))
He smiled. "You don't look so sure of yourself."
"What else is there? As long as I'm not the target."
He smiled. "You don't look so sure of yourself."
"What else is there? As long as I'm not the target."
Peter neatly stepped out of the way, grabbing another fistful of hair. "Funny how we seem to keep meeting like this."
"Not a one in sight."
"Not a one in sight."
She growled and bent slightly as her hair was taken hostage, grabbing Peter's wrist with both of her hands. She glared up at him.
"Oh well," he said and cocked his gun, aiming for the distant target.
"Oh well," he said and cocked his gun, aiming for the distant target.
"Peter," Edward said in a low voice, his face questioning.
"I will," he said and let out a shot. The bullet whizzed in the air and landed where it ought to, for lack of a better phrase because its too late at night.

"What is it, Edward?" he asked, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye.
"Congratulations, you know how to shoot a gun," James said with a complete lack of enthusiasm, also because it's really late at night.

"What are we doing with them?" he asked. At this, Scarlet laughed but didn't say anything else.
"You asked me to."
"You asked me to."
"Well, great. Would you like it if I killed you now?" Edward asked Scott.
"I don't appreciate that joke."
"I don't appreciate that joke."
"Get out of here," Edward urged Mimi and Ray, "They can't get into your house unless you invite them in."
Scarlet laughed. "Who says there aren't more of us waiting in the streets?" she asked.
"I'll take that chance."
Tom sat on the hood of the car, the gun unloaded and lying on his lap. He leaned against the front window and put his hands behind his head.

"Letting them wander off by themselves is what got you into this mess in the first place," Scott taunted.
James shrugged to himself and occupied himself by looking up at the sky instead.

"Please," Edward told the two of them, "Run."
Scarlet, in the meantime, tried again to land an attack on Peter.
A black crow suddenly flew over and landed on the target, looking around.

Peter laughed and grabbed Scarlet's wrists. "What are you really planning to do, dear?" he asked cruelly, "With only one working eyetooth?"
"I don't think they can run."
James didn't notice the bird at first, whistling a tune to himself idly.

James didn't notice the bird at first, whistling a tune to himself idly.
"I'll scratch your eyes out, rat," she hissed.
Edward didn't reply to Scott, but let out a frustrated sigh.
Morgana cawed loudly and Tom sat up, looking at the crow. He wasn't sure whether to leave it be or try shooting it.

Scarlet growled and pulled her wrists out of his grasp, and stood there, glaring at him.
"What is it?" Tom asked.
"What is it?" Tom asked.
He laughed. "Just try something. I dare you."
"Remember what I was telling you about yesterday?" he asked, sighing.
"Remember what I was telling you about yesterday?" he asked, sighing.
She pursed her lips and turned to look at Edward. "Don't tell me that you don't think about me anymore," she asked in a low tone, taking a few steps forward. Ed didn't reply.
"Yeah, is that your boss?" he asked, looking at the crow.
"Yeah, is that your boss?" he asked, looking at the crow.
"There's nothing to talk about. There was never anything between us," he said calmly, looking at her.
"Filthy liar!" she shrieked, teeth bared.
"What in the blazes.."
"Filthy liar!" she shrieked, teeth bared.
"What in the blazes.."
"I think the truth will sober her up from her delusions."
"Oh, it has already," she growled, "Look at what the truth has done to me." She pointed to her one remaining fang. "I could have had a life, Edward."
"That's not my fault. I didn't turn you. You have no one to blame but him," he said and indicated to Scott.
The crow flew from her perch and landed beside James, cocking her head to the side.

Scott laughed. "Me? What did I ever do?"
He lifted a finger up to wave. "You're not scaring me. You're a bird," he informed her quietly.
He lifted a finger up to wave. "You're not scaring me. You're a bird," he informed her quietly.
"Aren't you the one that made her into a vampire?"
"Should I kill her?" Tom asked, raising an eyebrow. Morgana cawed in response and flew at him, her claws scratching at his face. He held up his hands to fend her off.
"Ow, hey!"
