"Okay then," he sighed, "Do you guys want to sit somewhere?"
"This way," he muttered and veered a little off the direction they were walking.

"Alright, follow me," he said and led them further back into the club.
Tom came upon a car and peered inside. There was someone draped across the backseat, fast asleep.

Edward took them up a flight of stairs to an area overlooking the rest of the club. It was littered with tables and chairs, and not many people were up here.
"Why do you say?"
"Why do you say?"
"Glad you think so," he said and took a seat. Ray did too, looking around.
"Leave him on the side of the road."
"Leave him on the side of the road."
"Fair enough."
Tom set to work on the lock, checking occasionally to make sure that the man inside was still sleeping.

"I thought as much." She sat down then, lounging against the back of the seat.
"Focus on the lock, I'm watching the sleeper."
"Focus on the lock, I'm watching the sleeper."
"Secondly, all the vampires here drink human blood."
"Almost got it," he murmured and then there was a satisfying click. Tom stood up and tried the door handle; it opened without any trouble. The sleeper stirred slightly and Tom reached to open the rear door.

"Don't you feel left out?" Mimi said, feigning sympathy.
"Good, good." He looked around to see if any other cars were coming up the ramp.

"I don't feel left out, I just don't want to associate myself with them."
Tom reached in and pulled the man by his collar out the door. The man woke up with a start and looked around, dazed.
"Where am I?" he mumbled. Without a word, Tom landed a punch right into his face. The man was out like a light.

"That's not very nice."
"Ouch." He got in the car anyway, good thing the keys were already there.

"You wouldn't either. There's too much of a chance that I will drink human blood," he said and shook his head, "I can't let that happen."
"You gotta do what you gotta do," Tom said, hauling the guy on his shoulder. He walked off a short distance, laid him down where he wouldn't get hit by a car, and returned.

"I mean, come on," he said and gestured around, "A drink will fall into my hands eventually."
Tom opened the door and got into the car.

"I just brought you guys here to show you the other side of the spectrum."
Tom rolled down the window so that they got a nice breeze. "Hopefully this has a full gas tank."

"I hope you're not trying to scare me."
"Even so, we can take it to fill up in a few exits anyway. How far are we from where we need to be?"

"Good."
"We have plenty of gas for that purpose. But we might not want to drop off the car so close to our destination."

He leaned his elbows on the table and shrugged.
"He's plotting, Mimi."
Tom settled into the seat and stared out the window. "You're sure you want to do this, right?"

"Nonsense."
"What do you mean, nonsense? You have that look on your face," she accused.
"What look?"
"A little bit," he chuckled, looking over his shoulder.
