"If I hear a peep out of you two, we're done, you hear?" he warned them, leading them through a narrow hallway lined with red velvet.
"Yes, Mom," Ray groaned.
"That's not important now. Shoo, there's no traffic. What a lucky break for us, huh?"
"Yes, Mom," Ray groaned.
"That's not important now. Shoo, there's no traffic. What a lucky break for us, huh?"
"What do you mean, we're not supposed to talk?" she asked in a whisper.
"Tell me anyway," he said, settling into the seat as he sped down the road.
"Tell me anyway," he said, settling into the seat as he sped down the road.
"What I mean is, don't go laughing in their faces. Some people, vampire or not, take this very seriously."
"So there are real vampires here too? Joy," Ray said, eyebrows raised.
"Listen, you two will be fine if you stay close to me. Don't go wandering off with anyone."
"Knock him out, I guess."

"Knock him out, I guess."
"Indeed it is."
"Well, maybe not," he said, stretching his arms up, "Something would've been done to make sure no word goes around."
"Well, maybe not," he said, stretching his arms up, "Something would've been done to make sure no word goes around."
"Right."
"Admit it," he laughed, "You'd have dropped him on his ass without another word and make sure he never said a peep again."
"Admit it," he laughed, "You'd have dropped him on his ass without another word and make sure he never said a peep again."
Edward led them into a larger room, dark save for a few chandeliers hanging here and there. Tables and chairs covered in red velvet were scattered around, as were the people. A variety of goths and just plain creeps mingled around, doing the things that normal vampire posers would do. Most didn't notice the trio, but a few lone figures in the back watched their every move.
((hey, so do you want me to rp the creepy vampire dude, or should their be two and we each do one?))
"Are you saying I would kill him?" he gasped in mock horror.

((i'm at a loss really for what to do, but if you want there to be two, let me know and i'll conjure up another character))
Mimi glanced around warily, but tried to blend in just the same. She was never very good at that.
"Never," he replied with the same theatrics. "Not even if it was your job."

((two is good, xD the more the merrier))
"So why did you bring us here?" Ray asked out of curiousity.
"I don't know. It's an...erm, experience."
"By my good name, I would never end the life of another."

"By my good name, I would never end the life of another."
"I used to hang out here early on in my vampire days, when I could manage to be within ten feet of a human," he shuddered.
"It can't be that bad," Ray said, before nearly walking into a couple making out rather sloppily. "Oh."
"I'm glad that you have faith in me."

"I'm glad that you have faith in me."
"That doesn't seem to be a marker of difference between this club and others," she pointed out.
"Oh, good."
"Oh, good."
"Good point. But the people here might eat you."
"We'll ditch the car once we get halfway there. For now, let's just head down the highway. I'll tell you when to get off."

"Just..." he said and sighed, "Keep close. Let's find a place to sit."
"Great." Tom made himself comfortable and looked around the car. He opened the compartment under the dashboard where he was sitting and rifled through the miscellaneous junk that lay there.

"Yeah, Ed, have faith in us. This is supposed to be fun, remember?" Ray piped up.
"You two are right, I'm freaking out too much," he said, smiling a bit. He still seemed to cast a wary eye around the club now and again.
"Instruction manual, loose change, and a pack of cigarettes."

"It can happen...sometimes."
"We can sell these," he said, pulling out the cigarettes and inspecting the contents, "Or smoke them."

"Hey, I'm just being honest here."
"Eh, we'll figure it out," he said, slipping the carton into his pocket.
"Eh, we'll figure it out," he said, slipping the carton into his pocket.
"He doesn't appreciate our opinions," she said to Ray, pretending to be offended.
"No problem. What do we do when we have to ditch the car?"
"No problem. What do we do when we have to ditch the car?"
"How dare he?" Ray replied, playing along. Edward rolled his eyes.
"Okay, the plan is to go down the road for a couple of hours, find a place to crash, and then go do some target practice once its light enough outside. Afterwards we'll hit the road again with another car."

"I'm fine," he said.
"Pfft, sure," Ray muttered.
"Great, man," he said and rolled down the window.
((should we skip?))

"I'll say."
"Edward?" a whispery voice called from behind them. Before they had a chance to turn around, two figures seemed to materialize before them. Both looked sleep-deprived and their clothes hung loosely around their thin bodies. "I haven't seen you around here in a long time." He seemed to accentuate his 'S's the way a snake would.
"I haven't found a reason to come back," Edward replied calmly.
((that sounds perfect.))

"And now you have?" the other asked, seeming to tilt his head too far to the side, as if overly curious.
The car sputtered a little, and James took the nearest exit as fast as he could. "I think we're running out of gas," he said, "Just a guess." That last bit was sarcastic.

"I've come to show my friends around the place," Edward said.
"And they look absolutley deli--I mean, enchanting," the other replied, looking between the two girls with an expression conveying both curiosity and hunger. He took Michelle's hand and put it to his lips. "My name is Ivan."
"Well, this sucks," Tom sighed, "Alright, you up for hitch-hiking?"

She raised an eyebrow at the formality, and the other vampire laughed. "Don't scare the poor girls, Ivan. Clearly they aren't used to ones such as us."
"Are they talking about us as if we're not here?" she asked Ray.
"Oh, she speaks."
James rolled his eyes. "It's not a far walk up the ramp to the exit. We can find another car there."

James rolled his eyes. "It's not a far walk up the ramp to the exit. We can find another car there."
"Are you two nearly done?" Edward asked.
"Why so harsh, Edward? We only wanted to buy you all a drink," Ivan cooed, a hand to his chest, "Our treat, of course."
"We don't drink," Ray replied, shrugging, "Sorry."
"Are you suggesting we steal another car?" Tom laughed, "I'm glad you're getting into the spirit of things."

"Not those sorts of drinks, deary."
"Uh, no, really, alcohol isn't really our thing."
"Pity."
"Water would be nice, though."
"What can I say?" he asked, getting out of the car, "I'm just getting warmed up."

"I'll go get some," Ivan murmured with a thin smile, slipping out like a shadow.
Edward pressed his lips together, glancing at Mimi and Ray.
"I like to hear that," Tom said and stepped out. He stretched his back. "Let's go."

Bad idea?
"How is it you've come to know such lovely people, hmm, Edward?" the other asked, raising an eyebrow.
He nodded and started the walk up to the ramp.

"I've been traveling. I don't see why you and Ivan still mingle here. Aren't you done with this scene?" he asked.
Tom followed, starting to whistle again.
Tom followed, starting to whistle again.
"What can you possibly get from a place like this?" he asked, gesturing around.
"Ambiance," Ray put in.
"Am I not allowed to be happy?"
"Ambiance," Ray put in.
"Am I not allowed to be happy?"
Ivan returned, holding two glasses of water. He handed it to the two girls.
"Thanks," Ray told him.
"It is my pleasure," Ivan smiled, taking a step so he stood beside his comrade. Edward narrowed his eyes at him, but then relaxed a bit.
"It just feels like old times, man. You, me, and miles and miles of asphalt in front of us."

"Are you here very often?" Mimi asked in an attempt to make non-tense conversation, taking a sip of water.
"That's one of the truest things you've ever said."
"That's one of the truest things you've ever said."
"Nearly every night," he told them, "It's the only place we can meet new necks, er, people."
"It feels good, huh?" he grinned at James, "I really missed you."
"It feels good, huh?" he grinned at James, "I really missed you."
"We're no sheltered humans."
"Learn to walk before you run." It was an old thing he would say when Tom was getting ahead of himself. Which was always.

"Well, that is quite interesting," he commented, looking at them now with bemusement.
"I would suppose so," Ray nodded.
"Then what do you suggest we do?"
"I would suppose so," Ray nodded.
"Then what do you suggest we do?"
"I think he's mocking us."
"Keep walking."
((oooooh, idea! a cop should pull up and tell them that walking on the highway is probably a bad idea, and tom could maybe freak out and james has to pull out his cool kid skills. what do you think?))
"Keep walking."

"I would never dream of such a thing, but you aren't the first humans that we've met to embrace the darker side," he said and looked around the room, "As you can plainly see."
"I'm walking, I'm walking."
((love it, let's do it xD))

"What was that?" Ray asked, grinning up at him.
"You have to get into character, here," he grumbled.
Tom howled with laughter, peering the seat to catch the look on the man's face. He waved out the window and then sat back down. "I swear, another second and I would have had to..." he stopped himself, shaking his head.
