((awww, byeas!))
He grinned and took her hand, leading her into the house. He could still hear Hannah spreading the news.
"Well, yeah, I figured."
He grinned and took her hand, leading her into the house. He could still hear Hannah spreading the news.
"Well, yeah, I figured."
He nodded, walking into the living room, but the house had gotten eerily quiet. "Oh, great, they're giving me a hard time."
"Figures."
"Figures."
"What?" she asked, feeling the need to lower her voice, "What do you mean?"
He grinned. "Shall we go back?"
He grinned. "Shall we go back?"
As they got to the kitchen, the feeling of impending doom got worse, but still no one was there. "Okay, maybe not."
"Oh, of course. Nothing else to show me?"
"Oh, of course. Nothing else to show me?"
"Maybe," he said under his breath, looking around a corner. No one.
She laughed. "It's hardly noon."
She laughed. "It's hardly noon."
"Okay, maybe we'll turn back..." And that was the cue they were waiting for. His siblings came out of any possible hiding spot, shouting random nothings and each smacking his head in turn for being away for so long. "So what have you been up to?" was the consensus question.
"None off the top of my head, no."
"None off the top of my head, no."
Ray clamped her hands over her mouth to keep from shrieking and stood there, eyes wide.
"That's a problem."
((brb/gtg? im not sure))

((aww, okay))
"Working," James replied, which set off a round of laughter.
"We all know you haven't head steady work in a year."
"You been fired again, huh?"
"Or set something on fire?"
"Well, pardon me."

((baack))
Ray kinda just stood there, not sure whether she should make her presence known or they would just get around to acknowledging her.
"You're not hungry, right?"

((wooo))
"Very funny, guys."
"So why're you here, kid?"
"Are we going to have to kick you out?"
"I'd appreciate it a lot of you wouldn't do that," he replied, shaking his head and wrapping an arm around Ray's shoulder. "By the way, this is my girlfriend."
A collective "what?!" went up from the group of siblings, and everyone started firing questions at her.
"How did you meet?"
"You actually agreed to date this moron?"
"Shut up, Hannah, I think it's cute."
"Ivy, you think everything is cute."
"Yeah, somewhere in her cold, dead heart."
That earned the boys a good smack.
"You walked in when we were eating, genius."

"Hi!" they all replied.
"Don't worry, their minds all work collectively," James stage-whispered.
Collective smack.
She laughed. "You've been gone for a few days and now I'm a fragile, unpredictable little thing, huh?"

"Nice to meet you all," she said and raised her hand to shake theirs, but wasn't sure who to extend it to first.
"Always been," he teased.
"Always been," he teased.
They all took turns shaking her hand. Hannah was mostly trying to indimidate, Brian looked uncomfortable and probably wanted to double check her identity, Joe was borderline flirting, and Ivy just smiled.
"Good, glad that happened."
"Not hardly!" she shot back. "I could totally kick your ass."
"Good, glad that happened."
"Not hardly!" she shot back. "I could totally kick your ass."
"Nice to meet you all," she said, smiling a little.
"I don't want you to break anything," he teased.
"I don't want you to break anything," he teased.
"How long have you been together?" Ivy gushed.
"It would be fair if you were a little more breakable yourself," she shot back.
"It would be fair if you were a little more breakable yourself," she shot back.
"Gee, I don't know...a couple of years?" she guessed, glancing at James to confirm.
"That's not my fault."
"That's not my fault."
"Are you kidding? This kid can't hold onto anything that's good for him," Joe scoffed. James punched him in the shoulder.
"Hardly. I was only poking fun at your constant invulnerability."
"Hardly. I was only poking fun at your constant invulnerability."
"I can't really speak for James here, but he's been good for me," she said, glancing down at her shoes.
"Hasn't failed me yet."
"Hasn't failed me yet."
"Oh, don't look so uncomfortable," James said, nudging her shoulder. "I told you they wouldn't stop making fun of me."
"Hey, you've been gone so long that you deserve it."
"Hannah, you'd say that if I was here yesterday."
"Yet seems to be the operative expression."
"Hey, you've been gone so long that you deserve it."
"Hannah, you'd say that if I was here yesterday."
"Yet seems to be the operative expression."
"Why's that, hun?" Ivy asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Are you saying your current supernatural state is subject to change?" she asked, raising her eyebrows, "Because I don't think we have access to that sort of magic."
"Are you saying your current supernatural state is subject to change?" she asked, raising her eyebrows, "Because I don't think we have access to that sort of magic."
"How come you haven't brought her to meet us before?" Hannah demanded, turning it back on James.
"Whoa, hey there Signora Hostility. We've been busy saving the world and things."
"Sure."
"Whoa, hey there Signora Hostility. We've been busy saving the world and things."
"Sure."
"Well don't lie to us! What have you been up to that's more important than coming to visit?"
"Uh..." He looked to Ray for help.
"Just wandering, or are you thinking of other places that might scare me?" she teased.
"Uh..." He looked to Ray for help.
"Just wandering, or are you thinking of other places that might scare me?" she teased.
"Yeah, sort of," she said slowly, not sure how much information she was to let on to.
"I'd be worried if you couldn't."
"I'd be worried if you couldn't."
"It's all right," James said, laughing a little. "They're not going to believe you anyway if you tell them what really happened."
"Don't worry so much."
"Don't worry so much."
