Rayana sighed when she had nothing else to write. She put the notebook and pen away and flipped back onto her back and stared at the ceiling. The pain in her shoulder was coming back and she sighed quietly.

Rayana rubbed her eye, feeling a bit drowsy.

Later, she told me that Corey was her cousin, so I felt like an idiot. Then I-" he said, but stopped himself. No way was he telling anyone, especially James.

michelle looked up. "want me to get that?" she offered.

"Actually..." she said and flicked her wrist. The door opened by itself, showing James. She gave him a small wave.

Rayana laid back down on the bed and stared at the ciling, listening to their conversation.

"uh, actually i wanted to ask you something." he told her.

michelle narrowed her eyes in confusion. "shoot the breeze," she encouraged.

Rayana sat up and sat on the edge of the bed, hugging her knees.

he frowned. this was next to impossible. "you know..."

Rayana bit her lip, then decided this conversation was going nowhere, so she sighed and lay back down again.

he sighed. "because edward refuses to tell me."

Rayana draped one arm over her eyes again, and took a deep breath.

she suddenly felt awkward. well, she figured, if he let james ask her, it must not bother him too much for anyone to know. "he kissed me is all," she said quietly.

Edward had listened to their conversation through the door, smirking at Rayana's reaction.

james walked back into the room and glanced at edward. "and why didnt you want me to know that?"

michelle looked at rayana and got up to close the door after james left. "you okay? you sounded like you about had a heart attack there."
