The second Riley left, Crys slammed the door shut, then leaned against it, shaking. Her eyes were filling with tears.... Riley had broken up with her. It was over. For years, she'd dreamed of them somehow finding each other, and just when they did, just when things began returning to normal, he broke up with her. Just because Hell had to be a bitch. Fuck. How could he???

Riley stared at the empty space for a few seconds, then shook himself a bit and stood up. With Leo gone, he didn't have anything he wanted to be at all 'aware of', so whiskey - lots of it - was just what he needed.

He found a knife in his pocket and slit his wrists, then sat down on the forest floor, irritating the cuts some more whenever the pain eased.
