((yes, that was precisely what i was going to say. first, though, she's going to be dramatic. and, i mean, sorrowfully promise not to use her magic anymore, and more or less burn her half-destroyed house down so she coudl build it new.))

((okay))
Addie sighed. There was no use in denying it any longer. Of course this was her fault. It was the fault of her magic and every one of her mistakes. She didn't want to be responsible for anyone else. While useful, magic couldn't help her anymore. She'd just leave it to Callie to do her thing when it came time to do things the easy way. She'd send all her books to Callie, along with her various things that she no longer needed. Silently, she stood, ridding her house of all the magical things she'd collected throughout the years. Addie dared not cry. Mourning the loss of things that had hurt her was stupid.

Once she'd managed to get rid of the useless bits of magic that lingered in the place she was once able to call home, she knocked the rest of the walls in all by herself. It didn't take long; her sorrow was easily turned to rage. And, because she could think of no other solution, she set fire to the large pile of wood and other various pieces of whatever was left. She smiled cynically; it looked like a funeral pyre. Which reminded her...
The dead body was lying a few feet away. She refused to think of it as Chris anymore; it didn't help. She had to do something with the body, and suddenly the funeral pyre that was her house was the perfect way to do it. So Addie picked it up and hugged it to her for a moment, as a last sort of goodbye, and then she tossed it gently onto the fire as well.

((yeahh... :( ))
She sniffed a bit, but refused to cry again. And as much as she didn't want to use magic anymore, she wanted to see him again. It was likely the only way to set her heart at rest. Okay, so she was allowed the one exception, she decided as she sat on the ground. The fire warmed her heart, and it was easy to call him without the use of magical accessories; all they did was focus an attention. She didn't really need them...

((usually i don't really think that ghostie just appears, you know? that's just too convenient. i kinda picture it as they jsut sort of fade into visibility and then walk onto the scene. idk))
((hmm, well, okay then))
There was a faint moaning that seemed to come from the trees, which was followed by a flicker of movement from far off. Chris' figure soon came into view as he drifted over to the burning pile of wood. His image dimmed a bit in the firelight as he sat down beside her.
((fine?))

((excellent))
Addie blinked and looked up at him silently. She thought she'd known what to say until she saw him.

"Hi," she said in an awkward whisper, wrapping her arms around her knees. "This is my fault, isn't it?"
