Jack had heard what sounded like a fight, and now it had ended very suddenly. He ran over to where the noise had been coming from and almost stepped on Chris. "...Oh shit," he gasped. He checked for a pulse, but he already knew it was useless. He slowly picked him up and started carrying him towards Addie's house.

"Yeah, but 'stupid' is a matter of opinion...."
