((Earlier in December the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle was released in Asia. The US was falling behind on the production of green vehicles. So Jim Greenburg, a lawyer, decided to found the National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Battery Cell Manufacture, which is a group of large companies that want someone to fund their research of a better way to make environment-friendly energy. This month (January 2009) they are going to Congress and asking for $1-2 billion.
I think that it’s a good idea that different companies are working together as a team to do research that is good for the planet. I think that they’ll get pretty far with their research and that when everyone is working together, they will get farther than if they were working alone. I hope that one day we won’t be using gas to power our cars, we’ll be using electricity and this is a really good way to make that happen.))
