Rayana stood up and tied her hair into a ponytail, walking out of her house. She headed towards town, not bothering to phase. It would be a long walk, but she needed the fresh air.

Riley realized she needed a distraction and splashed her back.

Riley nodded, and they walked back to the house in silence, Meadow making the air around them very warm so they dried instantly.

Meadow hugged him for a second, then stood up and walked to the kitchen, Riley following silently.

Underneath the gold lettering was the name of the author, Roger Smith. She raised her eyebrows.
