Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments Melanie, no worries! It's all in good fun. But then again...I think Sponge Micheal Square Pants has been aiding and abetting again!

Melanie Cusick-Jones (melc-j) The Goodreads adverts are freaking me out again - I don't want to see 'mature dating' promo every time I look at the top of the page. some of the ladies make me uncomfortable - they have tattoos like sailors and they're not afraid to share them. Ewwwwww

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments What adverts?

I know I get them now, I wish they'd wear a jumper or something!

message 105: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Cusick-Jones (melc-j) I might create a login just to get in and then post that one their profile :) - "put a jumper on love!"

Now that would be funny

message 107: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey Has anyone else ever been sitting in a waiting room and had someone stare at you while you read a book? I have. Super annoying. The worst part is that it was a rather large room and no one else was in it but this person just had to sit directly across from me. Grrr.

message 108: by Michael (new)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments Hmmm, I think that is is something that is more likely to occur to women than men...!

message 109: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey Haha! I guess so. He was super creepy and about twice my age. Ewww

I get stared at when I read on the bus, eventually someone always asks me what I'm reading

We don't seem to get these where I am in Canada. It's all book ads, pretty much. The odd amazon spot, but that's about it.

Ian Loome (lhthomson) | 14 comments Julie wrote: "Haha! I guess so. He was super creepy and about twice my age. Ewww"

Probably trying to decide whether to use the book as a pickup line. When I was younger (about half my age, lol) I found reading a book or a crossword in a bar was always the quickest way to filter out if anyone was interested. If they were, they nearly inevitably used "what are you reading?" to strike up a convo.

Still didn't change the percentage of people in bars you wouldn't want to meet, though.

message 113: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments I don't get adverts and I'm really happy about that.
And Julie... Double ewww!!!

Oh gosh that happened to me but this time i was waiting for my brother during his basketball training and I was reading a book. Then there were like these two guys who were just staring at me... It was so creepy...

message 115: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey I wonder if they know that we know they are looking?

message 116: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments I think they are so totally oblivious to their own behavior, ' cause they are so fixated on ( gulp ) you?

message 117: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey Well that's a bit unnerving. They need to fixate on something or someone else unless they are drop dead gorgeous themselves, then they can stare all they want. hehehe :)

message 118: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments In THAT case they are just fixated on themselves! They never leave the mirror! I used to do makeup for male models a time ago and they
would shove each other out of the way to find space in front of the mirror! GAWD awful!

message 119: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey Hahaha! I bet that was a sight. :)

message 120: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments Very scarey, 5 really hot men all high, last time they ate was 1999, trying to look healthy, and perfect, all insecure about their looks?
And they worry about young girls?

message 121: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments My rant for today was a ruined movie, because a two year old cried and screamed throughout the entire film, and " Mom " refused to remove her from the theatre..... ARRGGHHHH!

message 122: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey Scary and hilarious at the same time. :)

Julie Rainey Stupid *bleeping* hackers. Grrrrr.

Funny part though, one of the junk mails said I had won the British national lottery.

Deborah George (ddippydebbie) | 21 comments I have been to wal mart lol, I went to the washington area about 3 years ago now. Been to see the white house. Seen the biggest spiders in the world ever OMG they are way bigger than any I have seen in the UK. My friend had some steps leading down to their garden and this one spider attached itself to the railings, every night it was there in the same place lol I would have been more scared if it was gone, wondering where it had went to!

message 129: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Moorer (sherrithewriter) 2,000 follows on Twitter and then I'm blocked until more people follow me. But how can I get followers if I can't follow back? How's that supposed to work?

message 130: by Michael (new)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments That sounds very odd...!

message 131: by Julie (new)

Julie Rainey I despise satellite internet service. Despise it! It's goes down at least once a month and then I have to impatiently wait for them to restore service. I'm not patient enough for that. Grr! Despise it!

J.D. Hallowell | 22 comments Sherri wrote: "2,000 follows on Twitter and then I'm blocked until more people follow me. But how can I get followers if I can't follow back? How's that supposed to work?"

Sherri, you're supposed to tweet things that people are interested enough in following that they don't care if you can follow them back. That's the theory, anyway. In practice, a lot of people use Twitter as a tit-for-tat follow-me-and-I'll-follow-you promotional tool, instead of a real social media communication tool. But that's not how it's supposed to work.

I think it sounds like a conspiracy thing...they're probably transporting aliens or something near you once a month. Maybe they get day release for good behaviour? :)

I hate when your watching a video on YouTube maybe singing along to American Idiot when out of nowhere a video pops up in the sidebar of... Well something not so good and above that video it says as not by this site by way of apology. In an effort to escape the video you click on another video. The advert has to be Justin bieber and one of those that you can't skip. After that misery is over you get to your song and around the video box you have JBs face staring at you making it awkward until you give in and full screen the video.

Okay rant over, back to YouTube I go!

message 135: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 101 comments Emily it sounds like a Bieber conspire thing....or maybe it's the KGB? Either way, it is wrong on so many levels! I have problems with YouTube as well, I can't seem to get it to let me comment, but then again, not many people want my comments....lolololol ! ( muuuwaahhhahaha!!!)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments It keeps raining, which is rubbish.

Why doesn't it just rain above the reservoirs, then we wouldn't have droughts and stuff.

Well I have a lot which I am dying to say out...but they are personal BLURGH!

message 140: by Michael (new)

I'll trade you. I'll give you sunshine if you give me rain. It's been dry as a bone where I'm at. My plants have all shriveled up and are nearly dead. And it's supposed to be 104F today (40C I believe).

I don't think you'd want this rain! I get soaked going out for a minute. Plus there has been loads of flooding. Bye bye puddles hello sea.
