Mine is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Kristen (kjsmulvihill) | 7 comments Have you studied that chart with all of the characters' names on it? Wikipedia, I think, provides a guide to the characters. I loved this book, but I wish I had that chart when I read it! Then again, it was kind of fun not thinking too hard about who was who.

Bill Sannwald (raroo) | 4 comments Gosh, too hard to say. I'd probably go with a children's book of some sort, but definitely not Love You Forever (one of my LEAST favorites).

So many books, how could I possibly pick a single favorite?

Kristen (kjsmulvihill) | 7 comments I, too, am unable to pick just one, though I can name Brave New World as my very first favorite.

I would love to hear about some of your favorites, anyway, even if you can't name just one. Can anyone give a list of their top five books, top five authors, or best books of 2011? Or, what would you recommend to someone who is a reluctant reader?

Christina Wainwright | 3 comments I don't know about all-time favorite, but the two books that I first read as a child and have since read over and over again are Little Women and Jane Eyre. I can still remember some of the color plates that were in the juvenile edition of Jane Eyre.

Kristen (kjsmulvihill) | 7 comments You reminded me how I loved to read The Secret Garden throughout my childhood. I re-read it about a year ago and am still in love with this book.
