Just read the first book in this series and if it ever were to be made into a movie they would absolutely HAVE to get Gemma and Alex's characters spot on with casting!

Gemma has a lot of emotion throughout the series. She is just discovering them all.
Kristen stewert can be a good actress but in all her movies she naturally stutters and moves her bangs. And again if this was a movie it would be kool/good to get new actors in this.
This is one of the series that I would agree to turning into a movie because the story reads like a movie pretty much. However, I don't see it happening because it's not that popular.
its a shame that the books are not as popular as they should be ! though i think i would be kind of like the hunger games people would only come to recognize the books more if there were a film and i think it would go really well just as long as they do it right. I think i might cry if they ruined it !

I wish the books were more popular cause this would make a great movie!!!! Its not gonna happen but i sooo wish it could. I agree with an earlier comment about Leighton Meester playing Gemma. Dunno about the other characters though :)
I would love this to be a movie too!!! although i would be afraid that they wouldnt get the detail right/ not somewhat exact or not how i imagined them but still to see the story come to life would be more than amazing! I think that deoending on his hair and angle MATT LANTER does remind me a lot of ALEX and kristen stewart reminds me a lot of Gemma but i still dont think it would be good for her to act in it-- i agree on Leighton Meester though or TALYOR MOMSEN(with black hair of course)ok, No matter how much I loved LAYLEN, I always had a problem imagining him (kind of like TOM FELTON) but in a more sweeter and gorgeous looking way... almost just almost like WILLIAM MOSELEY or even MATT PROKOP (i guess because of his lips-i always imagined him with huge red lips and a lip ring) with contacts and blonde hair.

I would love Alex to be Alex Pettyfer (with dyed hair) and Laylen to be Tom Felton. Aislin would be perfect if she was Andrea Bowen. I'm not sure for Gemma but maybe someone like Leighton Meester... I would love the movie <3

Warren Kole would be a perfect actor for Nicholas! all the way through the book I was thinking of him as Nicholas. Plus, if you watch a programme called "the following" hes the sheriff in that and I just see it in his character! This book series made me cry in so many places, it would make the perfect film if it was made properly and included the correct cast.
Also, check out Ashley Rickards for Gemma, she'd be perfect!!!!!

Totally agree, just NOT have Gemma be portrayed by a bad actress like Kristen Stewart. That would ruin everything. Forever. lol
no kristen stuart!!!! i love this book and they need to put a really cute guy infor alex and make most everything the same as far places what happens and characters and how they look i really wish they would make this a movie

I think it would be awesome,too. But its also not thrilling when you think about the possibility that this book's image in your head could be ruined if the movie doesn't go right.

I like watching Kristen Stewart's performances. I don't think I've yet to see her in a movie I haven't liked: Into the Wild, On the Road, Snow White and the Huntsmen or the Twilight movies. I think she gets a bad rap. But I don't think she's right for Gemma only because she comes with the whole affair-baggage. I also think Gemma is not that dissimilar to Bella Swan. Both Gemma and Bella don't think there is anything exceptional about them (aside from Gemma's eyes) they are both clumsy, they consider themselves ordinary. It's not until later that they discover they actually pretty exceptional.Right, now I've got that off my chest. My thoughts for Gemma are:
Chloe Moretz, she's the right age and I'd be interested to see what she'd bring to the role and we know she can kick-ass. Or maybe Elle Fanning, she's got a vulnerability to her acting I like.
Saoirse Ronan would be totally awesome for the role too.
As for Alex. I too think Alex Pettyfer. He was good in "Beastly" (although film was rubbish) and he was damn good in "Magic Mike" Loved that film.
No no movie it will screw up the characters if they do a horrible job

I feel like if this book became a movie we should not pick well known actors. We should pick actors that aren't well known to give the movie more of a hype. Take the hunger games for example, No one knew who Jennifer Lawrence was and she turned out to be a star that everyone looks up to who has a bright future. I think Kirsten Stewert is one of the most terrible choices for the role of Gemma. AND leghtiing Meester is also. They dont reach Gemmas level. Kirsten has little to no emotion yes i do know gemma doesn't but that's only at the begining of the first book she changes and im not sure Kirsten can do that. Matt Lanton is a terrible choice also who wants him? I think the only reason you want him as Alex is because in the book alex is supposed to be amzingly hot and adorable but hes also to himself and i just don't think Matt Lanton is the right pick. Really think about the choices your making cause by the time the movie might come out you could be disapointed. I only have opinion for the characters so far but the will most likely change...Gemma- Saoirse Ronan

I REALLY WANT THIS BOOK TO BE A MOVIE!!! i think it would be a great story!!! the only thing is that you would have to make movies for each of the books cause the story Definitely does not end in the ending of the first book!!for the cast i don't really care who they are going to be just that they can suit the characters perfectly!!!

I agree that they should be unfamous actors but paul wesley would be good for Alex or Alex pettyfer but not Matt lanter because he doesnt look arrogant enough.Lyndsey fonseca and leighton meester as gemma. I also think crystal reed would be good or the girls from beautiful creatures, divergent and the mortal instruments, as long as its not kristern stewart!
I wish they could make it into a film i give it a billion out of 5 stars if that was possible, I love this film!!!
It should be not well known actors but I think Alexandra Daddario (She plays Annabeth in Percy Jackson and the lightning thief!) should play Aislin!!!

Yeah cause we need a blondie and she would fit the path. They all need to wear contacts because I was not happy when the girl from beautiful creatures (I forget both the actor and characters name) didnt have green contacts in?! Whats the point?

When is it predicted to come out?
I honestly don't want them to make a movie because I am afraid it will ruin the book the way I see it. :'( so I just try to make it my own movie in my head the way I imagine it and that's good enough for me.
I would love for this book to become a film, but like everyone else I think that the characters NEED to be casted right. The adult version of fallen star, I think, was a lot better and would be better suited to make into films. That way they have more room to work with plot wise and not just a younger audience to market for. As long as they don't do a repeat of twilight where the main characters were all wrong, for me Kristen Stewart didn't play Bella like the one that we read in the books, AT ALL. However saying this and looking through the comments I don't think ANY of the actors that people have recommended in this discussion suite any of the characters. All the recommendations for Gemma just look FAR too made up and OTT. I've often wondered who I would cast if it were me and I honestly couldn't put any well known actors as the characters in this book.
The best way to do it would be to cast people that aren't known so much for the roles that they already do and also pick people that look the part as well as act it. I hope that if they eventually make a film from the fallen star, that they cast it properly and not cast characters because of their supposed chemistry (One of the Reasons behind the Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson casting for Twilight. Not sure how when I couldn't see the chemistry myself.... if awkwardness and stammering and twitching is chemistry, then I've got it all wrong!) Obviously actors need chemistry in order to play well as their characters, BUT they shouldn't be picked purely for that reason.
If they really do make the books into films, they should do it right, but then what the author pictured as her characters may be completely different from what everyone else interprets in their own minds.
I would watch it everyday until i can say it word for word. I just love this book its so awesome
I would love for their to be a movie about this book because I love this book so much and I would love the movie to and I know that I would!!!! so please make a movie about this book!!!!

And I think they should chose completely unknown people if it ever does become a movie cause then the actors/actresses can be as original as the charaters:)
