That was amazing too!:) They make me laugh! I love them all but I think Mr. Darcy wins!

Olivia (olivia1395) | 1948 comments I love Mr. Darcy, I can't really explain why. Pride and Prejudice was the first Jane Austen book I ever read so he was the first character I really fell in love with. No one has been able to pass him yet! But I do like Mr. Knightly as well:)

Becoming Jane is a beautiful film! It is an amazing insight, I think, into the life of Jane Austen. It is wonderfully done and brought tears to my eyes!

I do play the piano and I love how versatile it is, like you said! I've been playing it for 9 years and I love it to bits!!

Lucy Qhuay I think that Mr Darcy is my favourite, though, in the beginning, he really made me mad. xD He was so rude!

I know; I didn't like him at first either but came to later understand that I didn't like him because I didn't understand him. Later on in the book there is a deeper understanding of Darcy and therefore a love for his character.

L | 1252 comments I have written an acrostic poem about Jane Austen & i thought that it might interest you?!

J – Jumping to attention for officers Wickham and Captain Wentworth, John Thorpe creeps serenely by,
A – Anne fulfills her duties amicably thus remaining at Kelynch Hall,
N – Northanger Abbey’s formidable exterior of stone masks the skyline as it observes all below,
E – Emma Woodhouse and Eleanor Dashwood possess such strength of character with a steel mindset as opposed to the Elton’s,

A – All is silent as Fanny Price lifts her hand off the page thus preventing the cut quill to scratch the rough surface,
U – Unlike those whom one reads about in books you will not meet a Mr. Darcy or an Edmund Bertrum in real life,
S – Social events contain dancing for pleasure and to encourage affection even if one’s partner is barely tolerable,
T – Tilney’s reputation had been severely damaged by his lack of decorum resulting in scandal,
E – Edmund was as reserved as Miss. Elizabeth Bennet regarding his attentions towards those whom he loved,
N – Nightly holds his nerve as another prospective suitor approaches just as Cornel Brandon is courteous to Willoughby in his manner,

I think this is definitely one of the best imaginative works I have read thus far!! Brilliant work, Lucinda - you are so very, very talented!:D

AHH! I've been playing for about the same, I didn't even know you could get that music! I do think Darcy wins though, all the time, though I like Knightly. My problem is when I first read all the books, the "bad guys" had my heart! :'( Willoughby, Wickham, Churchill, etc. Lucinda, your poem made me happy inside! Except for U, which made me tear up a little even though I knew it in my heart!

Mikayla | 6 comments P.S. has anyone seen the modern adaptation of S&S? It's called From Prada to Nada, and I've been putting off watching it (S&S is not my favorite) but I finally did and it was really good!Speaking of moderns, how about Bride and Prejudice? LOVE IT!

OMG! Bride and Prejudice is one of my all-time fave modern adaptions!! The singing, dancing and the funny lines - their version of Mr Collins is enough to have me in stitches laughing!! :D

L | 1252 comments I just took a Jane Austen quiz, to see what character i am. It turns out that i am a...

Anne Elliot!!

You are Anne Elliot of Persuasion! Let's face it; you're easily persuaded, particularly when friends and relatives try to use "the Elliot way" against you. But this doesn't mean that you don't have conviction. Actually, your sense of duty is overwhelming. And though you won't stick your neck out too often, you have learned to speak up when it counts. To boot, you know how to handle sticky situations. You love deeply and constantly.

I took a quiz for which Jane Austen character I am a while ago and I got Elinor Dashwood.
By the way Lucinda that poem is amazing!

Well, I took the quiz again and now I'm apparantly Anne Elliot. I have a changing personality.

I have only read Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion. P&P was brilliant, Persuasion was disappointing. I'm currently reading Emma and will probably read Northanger Abbey or Sense and Sensibility next.

Ʈʜэ MɐÐɲΣ§Ꭶ ᏊརƭᏲƗϞ (death_of_the_rebelz) I must say, I cannot pass this topic by without a post. I must first say that Jane Austen helped to compose my childhood, books, movies and all. Because of this(not alone), I am quite convinced to this day that I was born after my time. For fear of losing my mind, I shall not dwell any further into choosing one male of these stories over the other. ONe cannot help but to adore almost all of them. There are of course, exceptions. Willoughby. Considering I have no definite preference, I supposed I stopped in this topic simply to express my love of Jane Austen and her incredible talent of composing characters.
